How to Make - Simple Rust Texture - Warhammer 40K, Kill Team, Necromunda

  • Just a quick video for my recipe for a rust texture. Very simple, just burnt umber paint, fine sand and baking soda.
    This would be perfect to use as Warhammer 40k terrain, Kill Team terrain, Necromunda terrain or any other tabletop game.

    Nice and simple. Have you experimented with making it into more of a texture paste as you mentioned?
    I've been wondering about using paper mache pulp but I don't know how well it adheres to plastics. Adding paint and PVA to the mix could give it the grip it needs. A lot of your builds use card though so I can imagine it working well for those.

      I haven't tried using it as a texture paste yet, but i reckon it would be fine. It sticks to those kids pipes fine so... Paper pulp sounds interesting, kinda like sculptamold, I reckon it would be fine with pva and paint. If you try it, let me know.

    What kind of paint is it? Acrylic? Ace btw
