The Maytag with this agitator was one fantastic reliable washing machine.
Suds almost look like whipped cream. Wish I could get my machine to agitate in the wash cycle for about 20 minutes.
Just keep resetting the timer to get all the wash time you want. Or you could make the timer motor advance slower.

CrestwoodRocks Yes, l have one of the same era sitting in storage. I miss that agitator and the infinite water level settings. Hope it’s not ruined from sitting up too long.
My kind of wash cycle
Maytag Dependable Cares are amazing machines. My dad has the older version of this model with the single piece straight vein agitator. It has worked perfectly for almost 30 years without a single issue.

@@Cooldude84343 A tc 5 on low speed would sound awesome too. This machine on a low speed spin would be absolutely fantastic! I don't know any machine that sounds better on low speed than the old Maytags do. The hum is so relaxing. Personally, I find all machines sound way nicer on low speed.

I love washers and dryers. What's the airflow rate of the LG dryer? When on the normal cycle with energy saver disabled, how many degrees Fahrenheit does it get? How does the heater assembly control each 2700 element? Do they both cycle on and off at once? I really want to know.

Ok question, sorry to bomb thread. So I have an older Whirlpool Ultimate Care II, when I run Regular Cycle it goes past Stop then continues into Extra Rinse cycle then finishes. What part of fix do I need to do?

Hello, fun videos to watch. Have a Maytag that is only 2 years old model MVWX655DW1 and the gearbox has already started leaking oil and is squealing during wash cycle. Part number for gearbox is W11035751, is it possible to rebuild or fix this gearbox, as they want about $250.00 for a new replacement, which is almost half the cost of the washer? Thank you.
@Albert Carello Hi Albert, thank you for taking the time to steer me in the correct direction, probably should have fixed the Maytag. Didn't have time to fix it, so I bought the GE GTW465 from Lowes for $650.00. Glad I did it is 10 times the machine of the Maytag, it has the Spindle Agaitor in the Middle of the tub and the Controls are so much more user friendly with the type of Load your washing. Even has a nice little Chime sound when it starts and ends, AND the Clothes and Garments come out way More Clean. You can Also Control the Water Level. The Maytag when washing large items would cause the item to Ballon up in the Middle. Found out Maytag is owned by Whirlpool now, so Quality is not the Fat Maytag Repair Man with nothing to Do. I'll fix the Maytag when I can get the part for about $150.00 just for a back up, but so far GE who make space shuttle parts, however probably won't need the Maytag anytime soon.

I wonder if today's washing machine spin just as fast or faster?
It depends on the brand and if it is a top loader or front loader. Most 2020 top load washers spin at 690-950 RPMS, and all front loaders spin between 1200-1350 RPMS.
@@cadonbarton1933 Some LG top loaders can spin over 1000 rpm. I think some Samsung top loaders can too.
James Orsby my lg spins at about 1000 rpms. Samsung might but that’s not a recommended brand cuz of the bedding cycle. Which is why 34 Samsung top loads models are recalled.
