No one is blaming him for relapsing, we are all simply rooting for him to get better. As someone studying to be a psychologist, I would argue that turning your back emotionally on someone in the middle of their fight with addiction and not letting them know they are loved and that people are rooting for them could be detrimental as well.

I've fought dozens and dozens of geese and swans. You have no idea. Geese will drag you back to their torture dungeon and have their way. Swans beat you in the street, sure... but I'd rather take that over wondering when they'll take my handcuffed wrists off the scalding radiator. No one is gonna convert bc some dude put scriptures in a yt comment section on a John Mulany video. But to answer your question, the idea is, when you truly believe in and put your faith in Jesus, then you will slowly be changed to no longer WANT to sin. You will be convicted of your sin (and sin which is basically any wrongdoing against God, it’s hard to explain but basically God is holy, perfect, and since we have free will, we end up going against what God says is right). Even though we’re convicted of our sin and slowly grow (through prayer and reading and having a relationship with God) to be more holy, we will still fail at being holy and perfect all the time, which is when Gods mercy comes in, Jesus has basically PRE-forgiven us for our sins. And so when we fail at trying to be like Christ, we can repent (say we’re are sorry and work to change and grow) of our sin to God, and then continue to try to grow and be more holy. It’s a cycle that goes on and on. And no one is ever perfect. Ok that’s all I hope that answers your question at least a little. I know your comment is like 2 months old but hopefully you see this.
