Hey, Thanks for this. There is a guy talking about "buying land" and then being a "Nomad." He's got a vid about an acre near Williams (two years ago) but now has 20 acres over more east of there (I think) Anyway. Boondocking is independent and popular too. Verrry cool. Maybe for me. ~. But here. ~ So positive that you are a "talker." Huge amount of information. You have my attention. (I subscribed) ~~~. Thanks again. Just great. ~~~ Mr. Not Worthy from New Hampshire.

Headed to the Kaibab NF this weekend. I tend to stay away on big holidays. That was a lot of campers. :)

Thank you for sharing how to find boondocking. I have used iOverlander but Outly is exactly what I needed, going to NFS or BLM websites is awkward for me and I only wanted to find a convenient map showing land and who owns or runs the areas. I'm still a newbie and I have an older Class A and tried to get into places I shouldn't have tried. I like the idea of using Google maps to look for campers. When driving, I see campers out in the land and keep asking myself, how do these people find where to camp? How do they know its public land?
I did go up route 89 to Prescott from Congress, that road was an adventure in itself! I ended up going to a Rest Stop on i17 for 2 nights because I couldn't figure out how to find land to boondock on.
I'm glad your channel popped up.🙂

I thought Gaia was good but Outly shows the dispersed sites.... beats having to look for the dots on the motor vehicle use maps... thanks for the tip.

Newbie here, what technically is "boondocking"?

Boondockng is basically camping for free on public lands, not in an established campground. Thanks for the comment.

@@socalvanlife I appreciate the how to. I'm in AZ and just getting into it. I appreciate you highlighting this spot and doing a walkthrough of how you find something.
