Love my 2023 Silverado Custom with the 2.7. The truck holds its own against the v8 motors, I have had nothing but v8 motors in 30 plus trucks, so this was a new adventure for me and so far, no regrets. Lots of torque and the fuel economy isn't bad for a large truck. I don't tow anything so not sure how that would play out but for the hauling I do the truck exceeds my expectations by far.
Do you notice oil burn between changes?
Wassup Jay I have the same exact truck also in white with the multi-pro tailgate…I changed out the chrome lug nuts for all black ones, changed out the backup halogen bulbs for LED change the license plate bulbs also with LED bulbs. Had the dealership add the rear wheel liners and the last mod I did was installed the Linkstyle under hood led strip light. I’m enjoying it and it does ride good. Next is to ceramic coat it. I’m new to this RUclips thing wish I could include some pictures so you could see mine as well. I’m also retire infantry guy. Thanks for your service as well. Phil here

That 2.7l turbo engine is good, but the fuel economy depends on your foot. Just like the ford ecoboost, you can get boost, or eco but not both.
That is a sharp truck , these engines are very good and they have plenty of power for most people, love your truck and your videos are really well done, keep up the good work.
2.7L has been great on my Chevy, enjoyed the video.

I can't believe there's four cylinders in these trucks. I come from the hot rod and tuna world but just knowing these trucks have four cylinders with turbos in them is astounding. Just had my first experience in one and I'm shocked at how well it pulls a heavy trailer.

The 2.7T is a really nice engine. Great torque. Smooth. Quiet.
I have the 2021 model (same engine)
It’s a gamble to be honest
Under 30k miles
The engine oil control went bad
Soon after the transmission oil control pump failed
Soon after the purge valve failed
Later one the radiator failed after I had pass 40k miles
The newly replaced radiator failed again
at 92k along with the engine having a misfiring issue which led the dealership to replace the engine/turbo/oil lines/radiator and it took them 5 mths to get my truck fixed with only giving me 4 days of paid rental under the extended warranty
The only maintenance I’ve done to mine was
5k mile engine oil change intervals
Brakes and rotors in March of 2023
Spark plugs @90k miles
However September 2023 is when it stayed for almost 5 mths for all the other issues
When I did get the truck back within less than 1 mth the brake system acted up and didn’t let me drive the truck above 40 mph and I took it back only for the dealership to say that I needed new brakes and also a new battery
I didn’t do the brakes again with them bc there was no reason for my truck to need new brakes when I only drove it for less than 6mths from March to September of 2023 and I put new rotors and pads
So it’s weird that the pads wore out evenly ????
The truck has been running good now ans is at 100k+ miles as of today
But the only positive thing I can say is that the extended warranty was worth putting on this truck
I do agree that this engine is strong but I feel like I got a bad batch of engines or something
I have the 2022 Duramax, I am now at 25,000 miles and only issue I have had is radio issues and I did have the grill actuator go out but other than that no engine issues. One thing I will say is that the paint on these gmc’s really sucks! I have the beautiful dynamic blue and boy you can see every damn thing in these. My bottom portion of the bumper is chipped to hell from highway winter use.
Damn that leather looks sic. I have a Silverado custom with the 2.7. love it so far.
17:04 seems like these are best left alone as far as exhaust goes. I’ve seen videos where they modified the exhaust, and with this engine, it just sounds like a Honda Civic or something.

You get the radio on the Silverado LT. Just got mine for 41,620$ out the door brand new 4x4 silver… just gotta negotiate. The new infotainment is on certain Silverado’s, you just need to look.. it’s a clone of your truck tbh mine

When you first got your truck you put out a video saying you had issues with your injectors. What was the deal with that and im assuming it got handled?
I got the 23 2.7 Silverado with 6k miles and it definitely doesn't need more power. Im already hearing weird creaking when I turn the steering wheel at lower speeds! My radio also has stopped playing music randomly multiple times on me and doesn't work again till I turn off the truck and come back later. Also which octane gas do you use? I'm thinking I need to try premium to see if it runs any better
Also my Silverado LT is pretty much same truck as the Elevations with the digital dash, nice radio and it has the led headlights

I just bought one today. So far im trying to figure out the airplane. What kind of gas this thing takes? the manual doesn't say. I bought mine for 41,000 plus TTL . If I had the loyalty I could have gotten it for 40,000
Regular fuel is what it's turned for, that's directly from GM.
@@2024CorvetteE-Ray thanks. Ive been usint 89 octane. I think the max I got 25mpg. hwy and 22 on the street. Ive been waiting until i get to 1000 miles, before I strech it on the highway and see what it really can do. my gripe is I cant seem to keep my foot out the gas, and the gauges are confusing.
Is the bose system optional or does only come with the 5.3

Have you found the column shifter to be bothersome…
I currently have a Ford Edge 2019 and the dial shifter has spoiled me…
So I’m kinda of torn between doing my trade in for the 2024 1500 Elevation or the 1500 SLT that has the gear shifter near console…

My custom silverado vibrates a-lot on all roads surface even when accelerating
Take it In and get the transmission checked out. Better to catch it early rather than later especially if it’s shuttering on acceleration. Most likely torque converter. Just had to get mine replaced. Had the same issue

Understandable , we will see how long last .I drive all my stuff to its death no trades in generally 15 years minimum from stuff before midwest rust gets it lol
