the fact that something as well themed as this is at BLACKPOOL of all places is honestly astonishing, really shows what they’re capable of achieving when theming attractions I wonder if they get a company to do the theming, or if they do it in house? eitherway, it’s astonishing how good it all looks. towers may have one of the best themed family coasters in the form of wickerman, but they should take notes from blackpool for their future attractions!!
I have to say, this is one of the best videos ever on TPW and thats really saying something. its great to feel the joy you both felt going on again after such a long wait. I wasnt able to make the opening days so it was nice to experience this with you both. i have been waiting for it to re open for so long and this video was a great celebration. thanks so much for all you both do
I haven’t always appreciated Pleasure Beach as much as other parks. But when I rode the Original Valhalla when I was younger, it was the always the highlight of the day. Very glad to see it’s return this year! Blackpool wasn’t the same for me without it.
Only thing better than finally seeing Valhalla open is hearing a very positive review from you two. Glad the testing period wasnt stretched out too long. Gonna pray for a heatwave for the late May/June so i can plan an impromptu trip to check out this ride
Shawn and TPWW have absolutely done such an incredible job for both the Coaster community and theme park community , aswell as keeping true to there roots and always putting out quality content! One of the greatest Theme Park Vloggers ever! Airtime Thrills is another amazing Vlogger
Glad to see they got things sorted... I hope it stays consistent. I'll be down in a couple of weeks to try it for myself and now I'm really looking forward to it.
Great review of valhalla 2.0 and i fully agree with the new soundtrack, it's too modern and just doesn't fit. Song of the elders will forever be the valhalla soundtrack for me (which will always be in my head as i ride it). Regarding the turntable room, it's a little disappointing that the backwards drop (which i liked) is gone purely because the story of the ride was along the lines of as you journey through a corridor of water, there is light up ahead but just when you think you will escape to the real world again your boat is pulled backwards into a tunnel of wind spinning your boat round. I loved it purely for the story behind it but from what you guys describe it does sounds like the new first drop with it now being the photo point (as opposed to the original photo point behind right at the very end of the ride) makes more sense. Excited to get down and ride valhalla once again after watching this!
I last rode this when it opened in 2000. I now can’t wait to re-ride it now that it’s been refurbished what a great ride it looks; a real soaker. Well done with the dark footage Shawn.
29:43 That is cool. Former ride vehicle station for chair lift that got turned into a restaurant with an outlook. Wish more theme parks would do this rather than demolish the station. 😀
I love how we got our first POV but as a reaction so it didn’t completely takeaway the experience for when we all get to ride soon ! Great informative video thanks guys !! 🔥
I was one of the people who were very critical after the beginning of the technical rehearsals....but now? Wow....well done Blackpool....much better than expected!
Valhalla back in its formal riding glory with all the props theming mist effects I must admit the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Valhalla ride operators have done that ride justice I agree with the original sound systems but overall the ride looks amazing however I really admire appreciate your feedback personal opinions perspectives as you both have so much potential positive riding experiences knowledge, hey Shawn you most definitely get your moneys worth with your Merlin annual pass membership and quadruple soakers too. Your tasty roasted chicken dinner reminds me of Wetherspoons lemon and herb chicken, great quality of food value for money for a fun park
Went on this last week, loved it. I agree the sound needs some balancing out here and there but the effects are great. I wish they would hide the boat exit with some fake trees though, that pool and the boat storage switch lane is a bit grubby and could do with some theming. Brill to have Valhalla back though, my kids loved it so much.
I rode Valhalla many moons ago when, I guess, it was at the height of its original powers. It was a cold day and I remember coming off drenched and bemused. Part of me wanted to ride again, to try and work out exactly what just happened. But I couldn't face getting wetter, and therefore colder. I started watching this film as I am intrigued to see what has now been achieved, but when I got to the on-ride I hit pause, I have decided that when I get to ride again I want it to be a surprise. I'll then come back here to find out what did just happen. Keep on entertaining us and keep riding 😊
Just noticed after the final drop they’ve put mesh screens on the right hand side! Most likely to "reduce the splash..." going over to the 2nd drop if 2 boats go down both drops at the same time which trust me is rare but evil 😂 and as a matter of fact a boat was in the middle of the vortex when you went down 😂
Went on it yesterday and was brilliant, sat in exactly the same seat as Shawn and got soaked. All effects was the same apart from ring of fire. Plus the vortex looked alot wetter as some of it was firing straight in the boat😂
Great video guys, loving Charlotte getting soaked!!. Away from that I have never done Vahalla, but definitely planning to visit this year. Thank you so much guys!!
Waited with watching this video till I actually rode it 😂 But what an incredible experience, it’s so immersive, so much water, so much effects, so much fire, I was literally flabberguested when I came off the ride 😂 I LOVED it!
You were caught on film by the way by despicable three from the back of the crowd. It’s a fleeting glimpse though as you turn slightly sideways around the reopening length bit. Also that Viking guy looks way too much like Kratos from god of war I think. They could have gone the more historical route with Evior from assassins creed. (Assassins Creed Valhalla was based on the second Viking invasion during the Alfred the great monarchy which was around 873).
I have just come back from blackpool and did this for the 1st time. I Was concerned id miss it at 1 point as it didnt open till 3pm. Ive never been so wet it was a great ride alot better than i expected. The only slight down mark is at times the audio was a lil quiet but it didnt take away from the ride. 9/10
Great video guys and the ride looks great too!!! Leave it to Shawn who can eat a 20 piece fake chicken nuggets box to pass on a half rotisserie chicken! Charlotte knows how to enjoy a good meal! Love it!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Only been to Blackpool once back 2001. I didn't think much of the ride back then but having seen this we are thinking about a trip up there. The cost of getting there will be the biggest problem.
Just watched this a couple of hours ago and I’ll be honest it looks absolutely amazing and you two have detailed each section of the ride perfectly I remember riding it im when it first opened and the thrill seems to be definitely there still well done guys I’m really looking forward to the USA tour
This ride is my official favourite in the country that ring of fire effect on the last drop what the hell when i went on it in 2014 cant remember that happening but jesus so much fire scary how close u get before it goes out
Great video Guys. Loved hereing about the Valhall ride at Blackpool pleasure Beach. The Ride looked real fantastic, Glad yous had a great time. An also at the food Venue there too. Yes would like to be kept updated on the Rides extra, Miss Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Use to work there many yrs ago . And yes Real nice speach fm Amanda Thompson . See yous again soon Guys. And Thanks for the Experiance of being there with yous. Fm Tom/ 🇬🇧 Manchester.
Just feels like they’ve gotten rid of things for no reason. Who was complaining about the ice or fire rooms? They’re iconic parts of the ride. This current ride just feels so dated compared to the OG Valhalla.
It sounds like the fix to audio could be to put speakers into the vehicle instead of throughout the attraction. Don't know if that's possible but it could help.
That looks amazing and you can feel how much it means to you both thanks for the on ride film I have been wanting to see what it was like inside wonderful tbankyou xx
I rode the OG Valhalla back in 2000 or 2001, am I going crazy, or did I imagine back then, they had this other effect during the final drop, which was like a lightening bolt effect? which was apparently notorious for hardly ever working?
Went on it on Friday... I remember the old valhalla being a very wet ride but the revamp is rediculous. There was a foot of water in the boat to start with and everytime we hit a corner the water would come over the side of the boat and soak us. There want a single part of us that wasn't drenched when we got off. Really hope effects inside. If you don't want to walk round soaked make it the last ride!
I've been on this sooo many times. It was great when it 1st opened but it did become really run down just before covid. Thanks for the review. I am really looking forward to going back on it.
Great that it's still a soaker. To me that's the point of a water ride. Never understood people who want to stay dry on a water ride, as IMO that's where the fun's at.

It’s such a unique ride with some incredible effects
when i saw this video on my feed MY FACE LIT UP!!!
Thanks for watching 🔥
Only thing better than finally seeing Valhalla open is hearing a very positive review from you two. Glad the testing period wasnt stretched out too long. Gonna pray for a heatwave for the late May/June so i can plan an impromptu trip to check out this ride
It’s great to see the ride back open and operating well!
Weather is looking great for this Saturday..........just sayin 😁😁
It's forecast nice weather for Saturday (not sure about Sunday) so come through and ride it then!
Funny thing is I went yesterday and the weather was lovely , I shut my eyes for half of Valhalla so watched it again just then to see what I missed !
Shawn and TPWW have absolutely done such an incredible job for both the Coaster community and theme park community , aswell as keeping true to there roots and always putting out quality content! One of the greatest Theme Park Vloggers ever! Airtime Thrills is another amazing Vlogger

So good to see you and celebrating the vortex every time never gets old 😂
It was great fun!
No way Sean’s here bro
Thanks for taking us along for a ride on Valhalla!
I thought the scream at the beginning was Shawn 🤣🤣
Maybe it was 🤣
Haha lol
Haha
It was 😂

Right that’s it, Sunday it is then. Valhalla is open so off to BPB for us this weekend ❤
Have a great time!
Would love to see a track layout as it’s hard to think how it all fits inside
I have the original plans in my collection so I’ll have to share them in a video at some point!
I last rode this when it opened in 2000. I now can’t wait to re-ride it now that it’s been refurbished what a great ride it looks; a real soaker. Well done with the dark footage Shawn.
Thank you!
I bet you were sooo relieved to be riding it! You look so happy! Bless Charlotte for riding 3 times!
29:43 That is cool. Former ride vehicle station for chair lift that got turned into a restaurant with an outlook. Wish more theme parks would do this rather than demolish the station. 😀
Sounds like the lift hill has went crazy RMC loudness. That chicken and totties look fantastic for a Amusement/Theme Park!
It was very loud, however it’s great that they’ve done the work needed on it. Charlotte loved the food!
I love how we got our first POV but as a reaction so it didn’t completely takeaway the experience for when we all get to ride soon ! Great informative video thanks guys !! 🔥
Thank you!
Omg this looks sick I can't wait to go on it soon
Have fun!
I was one of the people who were very critical after the beginning of the technical rehearsals....but now? Wow....well done Blackpool....much better than expected!
at least its ready for Summer now :D
Love your enthusiasm, it is infectious! I felt like I was on the ride with you. Thanks for this great video!
Thank you

Can't believe they've took out the backwards drop! The was my favourite part
How can a soundtrack so intense be so beautiful at the same time
Charlotte's reaction when she goes on water rides is priceless
Do they still have the backwards bit?
I rode Valhalla many moons ago when, I guess, it was at the height of its original powers. It was a cold day and I remember coming off drenched and bemused. Omg wow!!😁😁🤣looks brilliant.goosebumps here. Need to watch again.
They’ve done a great job!
I do miss the original soundtrack, though great to hear Valhalla is looking better than what it was a few weeks before.
Just noticed after the final drop they’ve put mesh screens on the right hand side! Went on this last week. Worth a trip to Blackpool on its own. A wicked, and a very wet ride.
Aw🥹 the speech Amanda gave really reminded me of her father, he would be so so proud of her ❤️
What a dayyyy 🔥 absolutely screaming at the POV
Great to see you!
Fantastic vlog im going this weekend i hope all effects are on
we waited so long and now it officaly opens YAHOO
It’s great to have it back!
I'm so relieved it actually looks good I was worried when the tech rehearsals was a bit hit or miss
Great video guys, loving Charlotte getting soaked!!. Away from that I have never done Vahalla, but definitely planning to visit this year. Thank you so much guys!!

The new valhalla is the best dark ride I have ever been on its so good
Liked Charlotte giving more detailed thoughts than usual in this video.
You were caught on film by the way by despicable three from the back of the crowd. It’s a fleeting glimpse though as you turn slightly sideways around the reopening length bit. The opening of the video is awesome 😎 ❤
Big up Isaac Walter making an appearance 😂🔥🔥🔥 7:02
The looks on your faces going round said it all for me, can't wait to get back on it now.
So happy this video is finally out. 👍

So glad it's reopened at last, looking forward to experiencing it again and what a ride it is/was!!
Great video guys and the ride looks great too!!! Leave it to Shawn who can eat a 20 piece fake chicken nuggets box to pass on a half rotisserie chicken! Charlotte knows how to enjoy a good meal! Love it!!! 🤣🤣🤣
We went on last weekend it was awesome, even my 8 year girl who i thought would be petrified loved it xx
Great vlog Shawn and Charlotte thank you. Looking forward to riding very soon.
Only been to Blackpool once back 2001. I didn't think much of the ride back then but having seen this we are thinking about a trip up there. The cost of getting there will be the biggest problem.

Been waiting for this one
We had a great time!
Im not sure if i missed it because of the darkness but have they removed the bit where you go down backwards followed by the freezing cold room??? 😢
It’s now gone
@Theme Park Worldwide thank you for confirming this mate, disappointed to hear that but it still looks great! Keep up the great work my friend
Thanks 4 sharing tpw crew
Thanks for watching!
Its nice to see it finally open and the event they held looked really good
Edit: Sad they removed the backwards drop but still looks amazing
I had only seen it on povs and that drop looked so fun
@@jessfidler2356 It was so fun, especially on your first time where you don’t expect it
Went on this today, soggy sketchers are on the hotel window sill. Its imo the best ride in the pleasure beach. I sat on the front! Lol
Well done Charlotte 😅😅😅you did it lol
Thank you!

It sounds like the fix to audio could be to put speakers into the vehicle instead of throughout the attraction. Don't know if that's possible but it could help.
That would be great however with a ride of this nature I don’t think it would be very realistic unfortunately
I liked the back drop 😢
0:14 I love that moment when the log hits and there’s a huge splash 😂 - pretty sure that was there before!
It was indeed!
Absolutely belting thumbnail on this one xD well done for going on Charlotte :')
Thank you!
That looks amazing and you can feel how much it means to you both thanks for the on ride film I have been wanting to see what it was like inside wonderful tbankyou xx

So happy it’s finished!
It is such a fantastic water ride 💦
Commentary was so good. Thanks guys
Thank you
By Odin’s beard I’m definitely coming to this ⚔️
Shawn i an a big fan of you i watched you since your meet and greet at Drayton manor in 2016 keep up the good work 😊

Great coverage in this vlog! I can’t wait to have my first ride on Valhalla later this year!! ❤
