this video really helped me! I'm making this for my visual component of my visual verbal essay on the novel "Lord of The Flies" by William Golding. A conch is a really big symbol in the story and so I wanted to replicate it for my art portion of the project! This really helped me out, thanks!! :)
Thanks for making this video, and it was right on time for my need. I’ve wanted a shell flower pot for a long time. This is a great help to me. I want to try this. Great instruction.
Hi! I am an amateur potter from South Africa.. I really enjoy your videos! I get super excited when your new videos pop up in my notifications! I've learnt many techniques from your videos! Please could you do a video making 3d textured tiles.. I am really inspired by corals as we have a massive marine tank at home with lots of stunning corals (and fish lol) I would like to make some tiles with different coral inspired protrusions but I'm afraid my protrusions might fall off as I'm afraid to join too harshly as I do not want to lose the shape of the protrusion.. Please help with technique!
I am having so much fun making the shells and acorns and now pumpkins, eggplant, apples and pears! a whole new line of ceramics for sale... I make up a whole bunch of the pinch pots in different sizes and round, oval, long.... let them set up and then "go to town". I also extrude coils and that makes it quicker to create the "tops", etc. Can you explain your "hot box".... what is the source of "heat"?
It’s a metal cabinet with a space heater and a fan. Shelves are from a wire kitchen cart. So heat can flow through. Maybe I’ll make a video on how I built it. It works amazing!
Very nice work 👍 good luck, please activate the translation, how beautiful the appearance of this clay you can control it how you want, this does not work with natural clay needs effort, I wish you a happy year,
Who knew??? That is so inspirational! You are so kind to take the time to share your craft with everyone. Big hug!
Thanks for the suggesting it. It was fun to make the video. Have a great weekend.
Great content. Well spoken, easy to understand instructions. The timing was great. I'll look for more by you!

You should be ok joining them if they are in the leather hard stage. You could also make the coral separate and use glaze to join it to the tile.
@@OceanwayArt Thank you for the tips.. I think I'm going to try the first technique you mentioned.. Joining them when they are leather hard! 😉
Thank you soooo much this helped me a lot 👍🏼
👌👌👌
