I did a lot of research for Norway specifically, they do not use technologists. The doctor or midwife is trained in it instead.
Thank you so much for this info!! Super helpful 🥰🥰🥰
In India too only doctors can do the ultrasound after training in it.
@@drG01 I appreciate the information!! Thank you so much!
@@lolgeselle have fun at my concert today
ty!
I'm in southern CA and i see a lot of new grads starting pay starting around $35-40 and with a year experience around $50-60 and 2 years $65-75
BUT i also think a big difference in pay is if there ARDMS certified! The lower paying ones is because there not ARDMS registered
thank you for sharing!!! that will help ppl looking in Southern California
Here in my area. Not alot of programs that are certified. The one that is waiting list. I don't understand how you go to school that you can't take ADMR test?
there are other routes like taking the ARRT exam or the CCI exam or getting a bachelors degree and then taking ARDMS -- if you go to the ARDMS.org website it will show you how!
Out here in North Carolina! Currently taking intro to sonography and working in medical as cna. So excited to be in an expansive career track! Thanks for all the information on your job. Super helpful. Love your channel.
Thank you sooo much for watching, girl! That's awesome! Don't be a stranger! Hehe. Thanks for all the support! :)
Hey I’m in NC too what program you’re doing? I am also a CNA and was looking into Duke university new cardiac sonography program from people who have a bachelors degree
thanks for this video I am a new DMI student at my local community college and I am pumped up about it. it's excellent stuff a lot to learn but it's very cool.
Thank you so much for watching!!!
About to start my Sonography program this summer! I love your videos!
Ahhhh congrats! Thanks for watching. I hope you keep tuning in and don’t be a stranger! :)
Hello everyone. I am a sonographer and in the field for 30 years. I currently am the ultrasound supervisor at a hospital in NJ. I just hired 2 new sonographers right out of school, and they are being paid $45.00 per hour. Also, they get 10% or 15% shift differential for working evenings or overnights. If you are interested in the sonography field, there is an excellent sonography program at Gloucester County College from Rowan University in NJ. As a graduate of that program, you will receive an AS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and eligible to take the boards. There is also an excellent program at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, you receive a bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I am partial to this one since I graduated from there. Hope this helps everyone thinking about the field. FYI, I have been in the field for 30 years and perform roughly 2600 exams per year. That equates to 78000 exams I have performed so far with 3 years left before retirement.
Thank you for sharing your well thought out advice! Appreciate all you do.
All that hard work & schooling, $$ having to be paid back… just to get paid $25 is crazy!
right!?! I believe they deserve much more!
Connecticut Paying Breast Ultrasound $46/hr new grad, Adult Echo $40/hr new grad, OBGYN $30 starting pay new grad as well.
thank you for sharing!
Im definitely interested in knowing how to do ultrasound out the country because I really do plan on moving out of the country
That’s awesome!! What country are you looking to move to?
My first day of school for DMS today🙃
AHH that's so exciting! Congrays!!!!!!! How did it go?
I work as a cna in los angeles and get $20/hr... with all the money put into school yall should get more than 20
Thanks for the support!
that's criminal
I am a Nigerian, and I get paid 70,000naira per month. And that's about $120 per month working 40hours a week. It is crazy low and I hardly survive on that.
I have 4.5years experience, I have scanned over 5000 patients.
but I am not registered as in my country only medical doctors are allowed to register for sonography. I have been trying to register for RADMS and CCI but it's crazy expensive for the kind of money I earn, so I am saving up. It just seems so impossible, hopefully I gather enough and register and get to migrate and work somewhere in the USA. And also help others become licensed.
You are an inspiration! Never give up, you deserve more! I wish you all the luck!❤️
Super interesting video! I was always interested in how much other states made. Thank you for your research!
Thank you for watching, Amarie!!! I am glad you were interested!!! Hopefully you can do more specific research to the city you’re looking into 🥰
So happy you made this video 💕💕🥰🥰
Yay! I’m so glad you liked it! ❤️❤️❤️
I started in US making $27.21/hr in Florida & they acted like they were doing me a major favor .. couldn’t afford to live in the city I worked in. Ultrasound is extremely underpaid.
What did you end up doing? Did you have to move somewhere else? How was the job market getting in as a new grad?
@@Emxvly.02 I moved to another state making a bit more now.. where I was there was a decent amount of opportunity and a school close by, so that’s why they didn’t pay as much. If you find a location not close to schools you’re likely to make more :)
wOW. That is not worth it at all. I hope you got something better than that!
glad that you moved somewhere else!!!!! you deserve so much more!
Why is everyone saying ultrasound tech make a good salary minimum $35
Hi! I'd love to join the discord but I can't find it by the name. Can you tell me what I should look up? Thanks!
You can DM me on instagram or email me!
$110 per hour???? Oh my gosh lol
RIGHTT!? Crazy!! Lol
Hello. I graduated my degree in nursing, and underwent a training for sonography here in PH, been practicing as a sonographer for 7 years here in PH. Do I need to automatically take the RDMS exam? Or need to go to training school there?
Hi there !! If I were you I'd send an email to ARDMS so someone can help you specifically and answer your question! There are ways to take the ARDMS board exam (it's called pre-requisites) so maybe you don't have to go to school again.
what is the name of your discord group? I can't find it linked anywhere :(
Same Life, Different Frequencies -- you can send me a DM or email and I'll get you in!
Hey Geselle!! Thank you for the video!! Can I get the discord info? I find out if I’m accepted in les than 2 mo 😬
Hi Natalie! Yes of course! Just e-mail me or DM me on Instagram!
Hi I live in las vegas, what college did you graduate from for ultrasound tech ? I want to start.
I live in Vegas too and I’m trying PIMA for Radiography don’t know if they offer ultrasound tho
I went to UNLV. You can go to UNLV or CSN.
Radiography usually doesn't include ultrasound, but you can ask their program director if they offer it!
Great video
Thank you for watching, and supporting as always, Patricia!!!
Which university has course of msc sonography for international students.....Please mam or anyone can suggest me.....
hello head to ARDMS.org to find schools near you - each school costs differently
👍❤
7 minutes into the video and no concrete mention of salary. Get to the point already! If you don't want to give exact numbers of give your salary number then don't do a video about this topic.
thanks for watching :)
haha thanks for skipping :)
Although the neuro sonography registry is omitted, can students still obtain that credential? @lolgeselle
You can get the credential with the pediatric sonography registry!
