Except either he isn’t or thinks we aren’t smart enough to know that the first one he caught was at the boat after burning it in to make the next cast. Good videos but man his voice is like nails on a chalk board and he never stops talking. JUST FISH!

Thank you so, so much for making this video. Been really frustrated with going out for hours and not getting a single bite, and I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. It’s very reassuring to see someone who knows what they’re doing have a similar experience sometimes. Breaking down how you tackle a body of water is extremely helpful, please continue videos like this!

This was great! I would love to see you do a video on "covering water" especially when presented with various types of cover, structure and depths. I don't know that I have seen another video in a shorter format that actually shows a beginning to catch in searching for fish. Normally we just see their first catch and they sit down to tell you how to do it. Thank you for making it simple.

Thanks ty...a truly honest depiction of bass fishing...as I'm learning, I'm finding that many times im around fish(active target) but they are neutral or not active, nor will they react. Also, am noticing that many will follow, but will not commit. I had a friend on the delta speak to the issue of moving through areas very quickly, then return several times...he thinks this helps and doesn't allow fish to witness your bait as they would if you made multiple casts in a short period of time. Thoughts?

On the lake I’ve fished for a year, I look like a pro out there slamming bass in the grass lines on the tuffest days, while other guys are striking out pitching into the tulies. It varies from lake to lake. I go to other lakes an I’m the one striking out. Sometimes you just have to know the water. That’s why practice days are so important

How much of generating hits/bites do you think depends on time of the day and eating habits of the bass? During these hot months, we have tried to pick up on patterns and when we think we are on to a pattern/location/bait that works, we have watched it completely die off based solely on the time of day the bass were feeding. We were able to reproduce this behavior on back to back days, it was just dependent on the time of day rather than what we were doing or where we were. We have started to "watch the clock" so to speak, and if we started out successful with a pattern, but it bleeds off to nothing at 9am (hot), then the pattern comes back successful around 2-4pm or later, we think it just has more to do with time of day rather than the pattern (seems more common in hot months). I think using your patterns here might help us dissect that time of day that seems tougher to catch, say from 9am - 2-3pm in summer?

  • @ezrabrewer294

i'm no tournament fisherman but is there a reason to set the hook so viciously, to the point where you're airlifting the fish over your head to the opposite side of the boat? everyone talks about proper ways to hold a bass as to not break their jaws, but tearing their lips off beforehand doesn't seem too sustainable either. wouldn't ripping the hook that hard just create a bigger hole in the lips for the barb to come out and ultimately allowing the fish to get loose somehow? genuinely curious, I'm entirely ignorant and about 3 months into the sport
