What you called "San Marzano" brand from American is actually "San Merican Tomato." The first letters of each word are featured prominently on the label, while the remaining letters are in a tiny font. Also, they use rounder Roma tomatoes, not the elongated variety featured on the label. Deception notwithstanding, most blind taste tests rank these fairly high.
