I live in Miami and I almost don't see any similarities other than a few tall apartment buildings. Miami Beach alone is much bigger and much more crowded, much wider bustling streets, constant traffic jams, crowds of people, etc. Besides, Miami Beach is a part of a huge multi-million Miami Metropolitan area. You cross the bridge (causeway) and you are in Miami which is at least the size of Sydney. Gold Coast is just a small coastal town. Maybe it can be compared to some coastal towns in Florida, but not to Miami. Also, Miami has a completely different climate. Miami is in the tropics. We mostly have only palm trees here. Gold Coast is subtropical, so it's probably more similar to the north of Florida.
@@elena79rus I only used the word equivalent, because it's the biggest coastal city we have, and people go there for leisure, spring break etc. Its a key tourist hot spot and property investment hub, on the sliding economic scale it performs quite well. He will be very disappointed. Australia has some of the worst roads on the Planet. USA roads are so much better than ours here in OZ. TIP: Don't drive over the pot holds in the road, they will rip your tires-to-shreds. Australia needs a four lane Highway system right through our country. Two Lanes North & two lanes South. Hello everyone ! :) I will be doing an exchange semester in Wollongong which starts in July, and I will arrive in Australia at the end of April. I still have not received all the necessary documents to apply for my student visa, so I am considering applying for an eVisitor visa (subclass 651) for May and June. Do you know if I can apply for a student visa once I get there? Additionally, I plan to live in a van during my study semester, but I need to provide a fixed address to my university to meet student visa expectations. Have any of you been in this situation before and have a solution for me? Thanks in advance ! :)
