    Ich hatte mal die Ehre son Ding mein Eigen zu nennen. An das Gewicht gewöhnt man sich, an die Vibrationen nicht. Die Power habe ich geliebt.

    taky mám doma contra stilku,je sice těžká ale zato poctivá celohliníková, pravdou je že ta moje je možná i malinko těžší protože tam mám 140cm dlouhou lištu.

    Fantastic old machine but at 18kg just a bit too heavy for regular use. Back in 1980 they were the most powerful chainsaw around.

    Why are you cutting with the upper side of the bar in the first seconds? The other side gets it faster.

    • @deeremeyer1749
      @deeremeyer1749 6 лет назад +3

      Because that was the side of the saw that was toward the tree when and where he started his first cut from the safest place to do so. There is no difference in cutting speed. It's the same chain on both sides and good saw operators use both sides of the bar to wear it evenly. Most bars on quality saws are reversible and manufacturers recommend flipping the bar when a chain is changed. Other bars can't be reversed and if you only use the bottom side of the bar, you'll have a bar that is shot on the bottom edge and worn down to the point the chain guides are bottoming in the groove and it'll be like new on the top side. If you don't know those things about saws, you're probably not qualified to question how anyone else runs his saw.
      Unless you're pushing 60, that saw is older than you are and still in service. I think the operator knows WTF he's doing with it.

      Actually I have a different theory on that.
      I sort of do the same thing when I am bucking a log under load I start the top cut, sink the bar three or four inches then pull the nose of the bar down the front and begin my under cut in the same line.
      I think it’s a good way to make sure your cuts line up perfectly across a wide surface.....
      I actually think I’m gonna try this method sometime.
      It would save time....

      That comment is teetering on a slippery slope......Hell yeah.... bring on the new Lithium ion Powersaw...... My boyfriend is in charge of battery charging whilst I wave my Ni-Mh saw at timber....pretending that it cuts. This is where all new tech fan boys end up. Driving a tesla. Running an Ni-Mh saw. Enjoying sausage.
