Love your work! I wish I had your skills. I picked up a water damaged headboard and footboard with a lot of wood showing signs of cracking. It has an elegant French look, very heavy, with the most gorgeous of curves and carvings. I was close to throwing it out but couldn’t. I see hope in it. Love this color! How do you know when to roll on a finish and when to use the sprayer?

Good question, I roll on the primer because it is shellac-based which makes it really hard to clean out of a spray gun (you have to use ammonia or denatured alcohol to clean it out.) I use all water-based paints and spray almost every finish on. Thanks Mom :)

A tip if you think your tape is going to stick on paint or even paper, heat the tape up with a hairdryer for a few seconds. It reactivates the glue on the tape.
