I just finished building the handrail on my deck ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!
Man I love how you simplify your videos and don’t make us sit through a 20+ minute instructional! Making this jig tomorrow! Your juice groove jig worked perfectly! Thank you!
I love this, it’s the benefits of cnc router for “decking” the surface. Love it.
+Gabe McGinnis it's definitely a useful tool. Thanks for watching!
Totally loving the simplicity of this build!
+Dave Wright thanks!
Thank you for the best sled jig video! Straight and to the point. No elaborate design, just simple and easy to make. Cant wait to build one and flatten some slabs
Thank you for watching! Glad it helped out!
I watched several videos on this same subject... This is the one that provided the most insight. Really love the incorporation of the paste wax as well - Well done!
Thanks so much!!
Perfect video. Every second was useful information about the specific project. Thank you for not wasting my time.
Thank you for watching!!
This is how you do a video! Full of great information, and to the point and simple. Excellent!! This is the sled I am going to build.
Haha thanks! Glad it helped out!
That's what I'm talking about. Simple and straight forward, Great job man not making the process complicated. Great camera work and clearly explained.
Thanks so much!
Great video, easy to follow and straight to the point without taking yourself too seriously 👍 definitely tuning in to watch more! Keep up the great work.
Thank so much! Appreciate it.
I've been putting-off making one of these for ages however your fantastic video has given me the confidence to just do it. Thank you, loved it, and keep doing what you're doing :)
That's awesome! I'm glad it helped.
This is exactly what I was looking for as an alternative to not having a planer or a jointer. I love it. Gonna build one tomorrow.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I subscribed simply because you had what I've been looking for and in the simplest terms to make. So thank you. Besides you are not condescending for the inexperienced person, like myself. Thank you for that too
simply put and all with tools i already own. thank you. im sure that black walnut table top turned out great!
Outstanding video, great descriptions. I’m making an outdoor kitchen countertop out of an 18 ft oak slab I cut from a tree with a chainsaw. Was wondering how to level it, this video answered all my questions. Thanks
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Probably the best jig tutorial i’ve seen on youtube. Gonna be making one after i finish my workbench. Maybe ill use this jig to verify the top of my workbench is flat 🤔 keep up the good work bud!
Thanks man! That means alot! I will be coming out with a planer sled video this week so keep an eye out. :)
I know this video is a few years old now but I just discovered it and built my sled today. Tomorrow will be the test run. Thank you for sharing.
finding greatness in simplicity is what genius do best !
Simple and easy!
You have taken the intimidation factor out for me!
Thanks!!!
Man, this is the absolute simplest and most effective combined sled that I could find on here. I'm definitely building this one! Thanks so much for posting it.
Thanks for this. I've been planning on making a Covid-lockdown desk out of scaffold boards, only have basic power tools, (Circular saw, router, etc) don't have room (or the budget) for things like a thickness planer and was dreading having to hand sand the boards flat. Your idea will save me a ton of time and more importantly money!
That's great! Good luck!
That was really good ... without an air of pretension...Thankyou
Just started wood working I like this sled idea. I will make one like that thanks.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video, very simply put compared to the multitude of over the top builds, cheers!
Thanks so much! That's what I'm going for.
Thank you for your video. It was quick informational and to the point. You didn't waste our time with an explanation... Great job
Thank you! I try to keep my videos packed with value and not waste time so that means alot.
Just found your channel and I love it! Thank you so much for making a simple leveling flattening jig. There are so many videos out making these but the creators make it way harder than it needs to be. I will be making this jig this upcoming week. Thanks again!
+Greg Kohls Jr. Thanks alot Greg! That means alot. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and let me know you're going to make one. That's awesome. I agree, simple is sometimes better! Thanks again for watching!
@@WalkersWoodworks any chance you will be doing a video on how you can make your crosscut sled for your table saw in the future? 😁
+Greg Kohls Jr. I thought about it. Matt Cremona has a really good video on his.
simple enough - I have the confidence to do this now. thank you for this!
Awesome! So glad to hear it.

Thanks so much!!
Same! Thank you!
Great video. I have been collecting slabs of wood for a while. now it is time to start working on these. I like this design. And thanks for the wax idea. I will use that trick as well.
Awesome! Thanks for watching. Glad it helped.
Thanks for the shot of actual cutting and the thorough explanation.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching.
Looks good. I’ve got two pieces of hickory stump bottom about 2’x3’x5”. Seasoned outdoors for a year and in my shed for another two. Going to make this sled Saturday!
Awesome! Good luck!
Just made this today! Thanks for the easy to follow video!
By far the best visual how to video I've seen

Awesome! Thanks for watching!
You make it seem easier than i thought. Thank you.
Gld to help! Thanks for watching!
Man that is so simple. Thank you. I Work in a wood recycling yard and am always bringing home wood of all kinds. When I grinding with the tub grinder and I come across something that looks interesting I set it aside, mill it (sort of) with my chainsaw and haul it home to dry. A lot of times (such as in most of the time) my chainsaw work is far from perfect. This sled is going to up my woodworking umpteen percent. Again thanks.
Thank you! Glad it helped out!
The best so far!
Thank you
Thank you for very useful tips! I'll try this tomorrow!
Awesome! Hope it helps in he shop!
Love it. I just found 3 slabs of of old growth redwood that have been buried in the forest next to our house for probably the better part of 20 years and they’re in great shape. This is going to help so much.
That's awesome!
@@WalkersWoodworks Do you have any suggestions for the height of the runner boards? Taller vs multiple short runners that could be stacked?
Thank you for making it so simple.
Thank you for watching!!
I really, really, really liked that.
Magnificent!
Very nice! Thanks for posting.
A nice informative project. Thank you.
I learned something new!!! Ive been dieing for a floor planer but this looks so much cheaper to do!!!
It's definitely cheaper! I just used it again the other day.
Love that jig. Going to my shop and making one now. It will save me 50$ having it planed by my wood guy.
There you go.
“Hey wife, I saved $50 by making this jig instead of paying our wood guy! It only cost me $25-ish for the plywood, $40 for the router bit, $300 for the table saw, $150 for the router, $20 for the kreg jig, and now I never need to pay the wood guy again!” - I’m pretty sure this is what my wife thinks every time I buy another tool lol
Great jig tutorial, seen a bunch of them on RUclips but none were as good. I will be making this one here in the near future.
Thanks! That means alot and I'm glad it helped out.
Great Tips. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for the upload. It's always easier when you know how. 👍
Great job . Simple and effective.
Thank you!
Well done, Brandon! Great explanation and step by step!
Penalty Box Woodshop Thanks Jesse! I tried to explain it the best I could.
Great video with some amazingly detail instructions. Thank you. Would have been nice to see how you came about making your runners. I think that may be one of the hardest parts with making this entire kit that I'm still a bit intimidate with. Well done!
Thanks! It just so happens I have a newer video with updated runners! ruclips.net/video/lsfMKhQEWAw/видео.html
This was brilliant thank you very much
