    And again we thank you and your team for your time and effort and agree that the cuts should have been standardised long ago

    With old school eye sight I'm trying a XS Big dot front sight with an adjustable, low profile Kensight tritium rear (both sights available from Fusion) on my carry Government model and for me the combination is outstanding.
    Thank you Bob for all you and Company do.

    Sights. This is how I came to know Fusion many years ago. Thanks to Bob I don't have a box of useless new sights. I have 6 1911's, all have different sights. Standardized cuts, heights and tenon width are just crazy talk. If I didn't feel like a unicorn hunter finding sights for 1911's, why I'd be happy. My current project a 70 series E- nickel Colt. I want a stake in front sight with a gold bead and a A-1cut U notch rear. It will take some work, but it will happen.

    This content is very high-quality and insightful. I wonder why it doesn’t get 1M more viewership than other cheesy shooting channels’ 🙄.

    Another informative video. Been looking for a replacement Tritium front sight for my Springfield operator with a .330" x 60 dovetail but apparently none of the sight companies have. Wish all 1911s had a standard cut.

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  2 года назад +1

      Yes, on the springfields we just re-cut the sight dovetail and refit a standard .330 x 65..... I also wish sights were more standard it would really simplify things. That is why on all Fusion pistols we only use standard sight cuts.

    Could I mill a GI 1911 slide that comes with stake on from sight? What about the little hole? Do you guys fill it in?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  2 года назад +2

      Yes, you can mill it for a dovetail. The hole from the stake-on style sight, I just leave it, the dovetail base will cover it.

    Very informative video explaining the nuances of sight cuts. I fully agree that a wide U-notch black rear sight is the best for most combat applications.
    I checked your website and didn't find any straight-eight sights, which, in my opinion, is the best option for tritium sights. (Totally different than the Express rear post sight, which I agree, is far from the best option.) Any plans to add straight-eight to the line-up? (I know you like three-dot sights, but I find that many people shoot better with straight-eight.)

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  4 года назад +1

      Thank you, Yes, they are on their, You just need to go to the sight selector and we have the "U" notch style with tritium and white outline, dot-over-dot. Call customer service if you need help.

    Got a Rock Island Armory 1911A1 field model and want black serrated adjustable rear with steaked Tritium or fiber front steak in, what would you recommend?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  Год назад

      Look at the mil spec sights on our website and if you need adjustable;e rear look at the LPA for Mil spec style. We have them both.

  • @alecubudulecu

    yeah I tend to prefer fixed sights... and learning to adjust myself for the distance.. while I LOVE the idea of adjustable sights... I tend to get frustrated when i'm shooting and the sights creep or move.... yeah I use loctite... but with heat and time they still move... and it's just another thing to have to consider.... easier to just remove all that hassle out of the formula

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 года назад

      Yes, it really depends on your application for the pistol.

    Any chance there's only one type of sites on a Colt M1991 A1 I'm not sure which.

      Probably our mil spec versions or look at our adjustable LPA for 70 series rear cut and stake on front. Contact customer service for help.

    Desert Eagle 1911 .45 Magnum Research by Bul - - are these Novak style dovetail cuts? Or proprietary?
    I do understand that the SPF11BU sights would work with this gun, but looking at a greater variety of sights if available.
    BTW; great job explaining everything in detail. Like you, I wish they'd standardize all of these.

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 года назад

      It depends on the model you have, BULL produces those pistols. Generally yes, Novak So our LPA standard will work, Check out our website fusionfirearms.com for details on sights from LPA.
