A discussion and a draft under 45 min? Hell yeah!
relax
I love this. You don’t do it for every backfield. But if you know the definitive RB1 and RB2, and the offense is projected to be good and/or run heavy, you should absolutely take both if the option presents itself. RBs get hurt all the time, chaos happens. Getting Achane and Mostert locks up like 90% of the Dolphins RB production this season, and that’s insanely valuable in a landscape where there’s basically like 5 workhorses and everything else is a timeshare. Get both Falcons if you think they explode offensively. Get both Cowboys, get both Steelers. Get both Cardinals.
ya, i love it for the cheap backfields but want to be more open to it in other places if some value opens up
Lions? I think Gibbs + Monty is 1A and Mostert/Achane 1B. I don't think there's any other backfields that compare to those two
Sneaky sneaky shit. Love some Kyle too
@@deathbyqtip33 yeah I think Lions are another good one. If your room is super WR heavy, you might even be able to do both sets lol. Add another 2 later RBs and the room is set and your points are top 3 at the position in your league guaranteed.
Won my league with Moestart/Achane last yr. Played them both in some weeks.
ive taken Pollard and Spears as my RB 1 and 2 on a couple teams and really liked how they turned out. you can get them late and they have weekly value. and if one goes down you might have a league winner.
yup that is one of my favorites too, i think they can both pay that off
Nice. I started ceedee achane dj moore lamar/andrews in my first best ball draft. Good advice 👍
love that team
Herzig is also onboard with 2 cheap rb teammate. It's both a high floor and high ceiling play. Gives you the high floor for the regular season and potential high ceiling (e.g., one gets injured) for weeks 15-17
🤝
great video - insightful
🙌
you can get the benefits of 2 cheap teammate very late in drafts also. chargers, browns, etc. you can also do it with the back ups late. draft both k herbert and roschon, both eli mitchell and guerrendo.
ya it's certainly viable, chargers/browns are my favorites of the ones you mentioned. i worry guerendo is gonna be a zero but i get appeal
This is how I try and have almost all my teams look. Sharp stuff
don't dupe me bro!
my favorite cuffs are Singletary/Tracy, Javonte/Jaleel, and the low capital investment of Vidal/JK Dobbins if JK falls into the 180s. Call it a Levon/Freeman type hunch, but i think if JK doesnt make the chargers he still ends up somewhere by midseason to take over for a fallen hero.
I much perfer Achane/Wright because I just dont see Mostert repeating the TDs and theres so many more dynamic options in the 90s in pittsburgh or with swift/moss/pollard. Wright could really garner enough touches to make both him and mostert not return at adp. Plus its easier to tap Wright assuming one of achane/mostert spends time on IR (which would be historically accurate)
i need to do more singletary/tracy
I feel like you guys think correlation matters a lot more than it does. These are 16 game slates and only 8 players are going to hit your lineup. It’s very possible you have an optimal lineup from all different games. And even if that weren’t the case, the Steelers could still have a terrible slow and awful game enviornment but Pickens still goes for 3-180-2. Anything is possible
i recommend reading this if you are a stacking skeptic. paying the rake in tournaments if you aren't doing it establishtherun.com/strategy-how-to-win-underdogs-best-ball-mania/
@@DepositKingdom stacking recievers/QB can be more beneficial for sure. I’m talking about correlating by drafting people within the same week 17 matchup from different teams.
What I’m saying is if you think I’m drafting khakil Shakir just because I have Josh Allen or players on the jets instead of drafting an RB that could be the guy and smash, you gotta be smoking. I’m not paying that rake
IMO, In reality the key to winning is mostly just good roster construction with good positional allocation of draft capital + finding value throughout the entirety of the draft + luck
Great show Pete & Kyle!
🙌
I like the handcuff rb strat this year especially with the cin/dal/ten/pits backfields. However I hate handcuffing RBs like achane or Kyren. Or those top rbs. By doing so you’re basically saying achane will underperform and that drafted team most likely will be dead since you used a lot of draft capital. I just can’t see a winning team winning with handcuffing a top round rb pick. Maybe better niche strat is to handcuff mostart/wright and make that bet against achane?
agreed, it's much more viable w the cheaper pieces but hard to argue achane/mostert when we know exactly how it looks when both smash
Good video. draft all the Denver handcuff backfields while you’re in colorado for the vibes
lol good call
Awesome draft!
turned out pretty nice
I like the yellow notebook paper graphic
that was just for you
Zach Ertz making the cut on this build would have been lovely
lol
Wasn’t last year the first and only year zero RB won? Didn’t Liam, Pat, and Herzig all start RB RB thru 2 rounds? I know the avalanche is real and ya gotta get ahead of it but man idk sometimes
reg szn milly champ was zero rb for bbm3
I tend to draft rb rounds 8-12
that's the zero rb sweet spot for sure
@@DepositKingdomseeing your team with achane reminds me of mine I’ve achane mostert and lamb with Lawrence Evan’s and Caleb with moore interesting to know I’m not the only one in this thought range
How about Davis for the questionnaire.
i wonder if he's available
Lol, he might be able to squeeze you in.
@@DepositKingdom😮🤣 ... fave structure: 3 chiefs w/o mahomes; player target: hollywood; stack: 3 chiefs w/o mahomes; gal brain: chiefs w/o mahomes; late flyer: CEH
I'm so sleep deprived that I thought I left a comment but instead I replied to a comment so here's another shot
lol im right there w you running on fumes this week ty
if your going to do this, you might as well grab wright because how cheap he is. coaches r talking the rookie up
we joked about it, if all 3 picks were cheap (like last year) id be ok w it, but 3rd rd achane doesn't leave room for a 3rd w/o injury
