You can use "way back machine" and set a date then go to the audison website from like 1 year ago and download the 2.0 software. I use this when dowloading other software for myself.
The "tuning cart" sounds like a good project to tackle in a future episode. I really like the tuning episodes like this one, except for all the updating problems, which are unfortunately part of adventure.

Outstanding video. Funny, informative, and reassuring that I don't have a tuning problem. I just know tomorrow when I make a few more sound adjustments the music will sound better.
To help prevent the smoking of any subs, i noticed in a 6th order there's an impedance spike at the lower peak frequency, so aim around there, for the higher peak it's treating itself as a sub in a small box with a big port, which get hot due to the impedance trough, so keep it lower around there, even if cab gains are tempting you to play songs with peaks there.
Doug , its like that with the diag equipment I use. You get a multi thousand dollar module that needs multi thousand dollar license fee just to look at some data and be able to program vehicle control modules .
Doug, did you set your gains with the bass knob turned down instead of all the way up? Just wondering why the clip light was coming on at 21:37 with the knob turned so little.
Hey Doug, just want to make you aware, when using the BitTune stand alone, only the CENTER MIC in the HSM is working. Again, in stand alone RTA mode, only ONE out of five mics in the "flying saucer" is actually picking up sound and sending it to the RTA display.

Doug the usb1 or usb2 does not play DSD FILES. If u want to play hi res files u have to use the usb dac. This has been verified on the sony rsx-gs9 dedicated facebook page by SONY ENGINEERS. What they actially did was they activated usb 1 and 2 to accept DSD files but if u play them on usb 1 or 2 it down samples them to PCM. Keep using the usb dac and u will be good to go. I to miss my skip function on my steering wheel controls, but I would much rather have the ability to play Hi-Res Files.

I have question Doug. If you have a good DAC why is it important to cram a high bit rate into? This a real question . I would assume a good DAC would fill in the signal conversion, right?
I like tuning with REW. Also I sit in the car during tuning sessions. That way, my leg blocks what it blocks. Otherwise, I don't get an accurate reading. How often do you listen to a car audio system with no one in the car? Why tune with no one in the car? If a tree falls in a forest with no one around, does it make a sound? If you tune a car, with no one in the driver's seat, does it make a sound?
You should get the new RTA microphone that Audison makes now instead of it being a hockey puck it is basically a human head and it’s supposed to simulate a human head sitting there instead of that saucer. I drive a Tesla with a Hertz system in it But in my tundra I’ve got five Audison vose amps running active three-way Mille fronts with 4 7”Mille woofers in the front doors, bit one hd and a 3way Mille set in the back doors (with crossovers) And of course one of your dash kits with an iPad mini going to optical. I originally had the AV bit in’s but when the Bitone HD came out I upgraded all 5 to the AV bit in HD’s so needless to say after I did that I had nothing but problems. Static noise where it where it would only work if you had one amp I spent like $200 in different ethernet cable‘s swapped amps even had a new Bitone HD overnighted. I ended up going back to analog. Audison wanted us to solder resistors on to each of the bid in HD’s. They’ve got a great concept on everything but damn they are wearable as software and releasing shit to fucking early without even testing shit. I’ve got almost $30,000 wrapped up in that tundra. Very frustrating
Now you just need audison to unlock the ability to actually use the bitrate the Sony head unit is putting out. At least it sounds good when it's downsampling to what the audison can handle. $1500 was a solid investment. I'm not entirely sure about how it's working but I think the processor just redoes all the digital to analog conversion after it processes it.
+Keith Anderson that’s why we have the McIntosh 2 channel connected to the Sony’s front pre-out. 😋👌 the majority of the output is unprocessed by the AP8.9
+Nick C well... in this case the iPad is sending a 5.6mhz DSD stream to the Sony’s internal DAC. BUT!!! The Walkman can send 11mhz! 🤑 But both ways would be using the DAC inside the rsxgs9 😋

HEY DOUGH!!! Why is your voltage so low when you are driving? The voltage on my 12 volt system in my fiat is more like 13.8 volt when the motor is running...just curious...
I was taught when reading ohms you cant use your fingers to hold the contacts to the wire, your body conducts electricity. so i guess in theory your adding to the resistant equation. i think itsRt= r1+r2.
This may be a noob question .. but how to you download your FLAC files to to iPad Pro or any apple device ? I’ve never been able to play with out converting to ALAC .. also does this take away from the quality ?
