Recently installed the Audio Control DM 608; it was $599.99 on Amazon. About the unit, it was very simple to install taking about 15 minutes to download and install the single file to my laptop. The tutorial walked me through every step to help set up input/output gains, crossover settings (digital so they were precise to the speaker roll-off); time alignment had two options and were very simply to set up using a tape measure to figure the appropriate path-length distance to the listening position (I used the remote control which is separate and set up four listening positions (driver, passenger, center stage, and one for surround sound during video playback); using the DSP features for RTA and 30 Band EQ were very simple (they also offer a 14 and 10 band EQ option); when setting the EQ you can have the unit auto EQ the factory curve if you are using high level speaker inputs for your signal and can sum them if needed. You can also set each band on the EQ for each speaker or speaker pair. You can mute speakers if needed during set up, change polarity/phase with one click for each speaker pair; the sub output can be set to mono/stero and also has a bass boosting feature that allows you to bring the bass back into the signal (some after market stero manufacturers reduce the bass signal from the radio to protect the speakers even when they add in their inline capacitors/bass reducing features) and also select when you would like the feature to kick in. There's several other customizing features such as right clicking on a speaker pair and you can change the number to a name. Additionally, you can save four settings on the DSP internally and as many configurations as you want on your laptop. The DSP is protected with an assignable pin number for security purposes. Also, if you need support Audio Control can remote into your computer and help you set up your DSP. I called them and with in 3 minutes of my call they were tweaking my DSP settings. Great product, great company, and even greater sound. www.audiocontrol.com/knowledge-base/dm-810-setup-walk-thru/
I'm using an Mosconi 6to8 V8 DSP. 6 rca in's, or hi-level in's, optical, coaxial or Bluetooth input and 8 rca out's. Output voltage is 8 volts, no gain needed on the amplifier. It keeps the sound so free of noise, it's awesome!
AudioControl DQDX / DQ61 are awesome units. May not be as flexible as the others in terms of how many bands you can set on the EQ, or crossovers, but when integrating with a factory unit (which most people want now) the built in line-driver (or the line converter for the DQ61) is fantastic. Also can't beat just how easy it is to install them, as its plug and play and then turn some physical knobs.
I'm running an old school rockford fosgate system, 2 power 250m's for bass, a punch 250x2 front, and a power 50m2 rear, all driven off a symmetry epx2. 28 band eq, 10 outputs with seperate crossover points. It's almost as old as your laptop, but still rocking.
I run an RF 3sixty.2 I bought at an estate sale for $20 and it had the Palm T2 with it too... I absolutely love it... Running off iPad mini with your side slider, Focal mids and hi's through a RF T600-4 and JL 12TW3s pushed by a RF Power 1500.1... Best budget system I've built
Just beeping in because you requested people who have used others in the field. Our shop has used 2 that come to mind. The Massive Audio FlatLine and the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 , As for the Massive Audio I mean come on it comes in at under 200.00 so its not really trying to take on the big dogs but it is able to sum out your factory crossed over channels and rehome them to a sorta flat signal and then be amplified we used it on a 2012 Sonata with the Infinity sound system and in the end it was a great addition , hell it was a SUPER addition to the crap that they charged for that Infinity/JBL sound stock system.. But the one you reviewed ( Not knowing the price) I have to say the built in amplifier is nice, maybe a bit more power but still nice none the less. The Rockford 3sixty rocked though, we used it in a Lexus GX470 with the mark levison 14 speaker sound system and it was amazing to 64 bands of EQ per speaker. A tad much you might say but you could spend weeks just playing with that thing to perfect sound, I often find it takes more work making enclosures so you have a better sound as so many cars ues a open free air baffle design so its hard to home them in right even with these processors.
I use an Arc audio ps8 with the psc. I love it. They make such a difference in the versatility and control over a system. And being able to integrate it into the new vehicles with the way they do the dashes now is a huge plus!
I can't stress it enough about this GUY DOUG!!....You're a WIZARD Harry(Doug)!!....The knowledge one can learn just by watching from the beginning of this channel is astounding!!....Best wishes for the future of this TALENTED KNOWLEDGEABLE MAN!!...HOT DIGGITY DANGGGG!!!!!!
I'm running a PPI DSP 88R aka Soundstream Harmony that I had "upgraded" to a RF 3sixty.3 & eventually reinstalled the PPI & sold the RF. Say what you will but the PPI simply sounded better for a fraction of the price. I'm not a PPI or Soundstream fan & wouldn't run any of their current gear but as far as DSP's go, they've got the best slept on DSP in the market.
I have used a few and they all have their good points and bad points... Helix, Zapco, Mosconi, ARC, Rockford Fosgate, Audison, Mini DSP, JBL MS8, Pioneer ODR, Old Sony C90 with add ons and more. I currently use the Mosconi 6to8 V8 and have done well competing with it.
I used an AudioControl LC7i to clean up my factory headunit signal before amplifying it. It was a lot easier (and cheaper) to install than that audison, but i'm sure your sounds a whole lot better.
Rafael Moreno I use the AC LC7i in my 2012 F-150 Supercrew, and I hate it. The bass still gets attenuated when I turn the volume up. I'm about ready to scrap the whole install...
installed a LC7i on a 2008 Altima with the Bose 9 speaker system, had four specific frequencies per pair of speaker. The LC7i did take all the different input frequencies and was able to sum them at the outputs but it distorted too much, specially when I cranked up the bass, I could not turn it up to a level that the speaker were capable of handleling. Then I replaced it with the ROCKFORD FOSGATE 3SIXTY3 and what a difference, the quality of the sound is leaps ahead of the LC7i, no distortion, many more features, you can go optical or RCA or high input from your stock stereo amp and connect any device that streams on bluetooth, 32 bands per channel and two remote knobs that can do 4 functions each!
Arc Audio PS-8, best processor I have used. Wont leave any digital artifacts behind, sounds more natural, easier and quicker tune than the audison processors
Im using an Alpine PXA-H800. It has 8 output channels, works pretty well. Lots of adjustments, and it comes with its own mic. Only problem is it is a little complicated to use initially. Though that might be the fact it is -14 outside and Im trying to adjust the eq.
Nice one Doug! Processors...its like a lifestyle choice. I figure I'm budgeting to spend AUD1K every couple years each time the next one comes out, that's how it normally rolls. I haven't bought the 360, H800, 6to8, Helix or Ps8 yet...grown smarter over the years, waiting for the bugs to get worked out. That said I'm diving right in with the new Rainbow unit to be used with the iPad in-dash. Wi-fi in the car...basically a Bit One suite all on screen + lossless streaming. Let's see how that goes!!
Doug I run a JBL MS-8 in my 06 Zephyr Zephyr to a set of Diamond D9 components. I also run two Kenwood X4R'S active to my 3 way focals in my 93 dodge stealth. My favorite is still the X4R's. I love having the DSP on the amp. Although the MS8 is the easiest to setup. Literally minutes. I have runs all the fosgate 360's. They are not bad. I want to check out the new Helix.
If you (Doug) are at all considering upgrading that ancient Dell you've got there, a couple things to look into for a laptop: An SSD will make the laptop not only way way quicker, but way less fragile as well, and less prone to being hurt if it's close to subwoofers since subwoofers tend to shake the living hell out of everything that hasn't been bolted down. Hard drives are very very sensitive to shaking because they have a tiny ass needle reading from an Aluminium platter. The platters spin at between 5400 and 7200 revelations per minute. See the problem there?. Any recent laptop with a Realtek onboard soundcard. I just upgraded from a 2008 motherboard with an AC97 to a 2014 motherboard with a Realtek soundcard and the Realtek is WORLDS clearer than the AC97. Take that into consideration if you're trying on music for sound quality on new speakers.
Make a full video of a Audison Bit Ten D. Full installation from beginning to end with detailed tuning. Also with a Bit Ten D how do you run the front components active and still have rear 6 x 9 and subwoofers?
ANYONE who knows anything about car audio, would only ever use 6x9"s for garage speakers..... no need for a fullrang speaker when you have tweeters & different size midrange speaker's and a subwoofer to handle the bass, start from the beginning to understand the shows he has now....
Minidsp is ok. I don't like the software but they are cheap and get the job done. Their minisharc is pretty cool, especially if your amps have digital inputs. I think you can use analog designs sigma studio to develop your own firmware for it, but the Minidsp plug in for it is better than most of their other ones, it actually has limiters and a lot of possible delay which is good because I bet many car subwoofers have a big delay compared to the front speakers when sitting in the front. I wouldn't be surprised to have a 10ms delay or more if your filter slope was very steep. Have you been favoring a particular filter slope recently? I've been using a lot of LR24 and But12 and 24, but I'm actually trying to get away from IIR filters on my nicer projects and design some custom FIR filters in software. You can input custom biquad filters in all of the Minidsp products with one of the advanced plugins. There are some free software available that will help you design the filters and then let you copy paste the pole coefficients into your Minidsp plugin, but matlab is the most comprehensive software for such things. Love the videos keep up the good work!
5XL! LOL I need a new blanket! That Audison sw looks a lot like the RF360.3 You could have mentioned what Toyota HU it is. You could have mentioned that the DSP was not able to get a quality signal from the HU and not even a full range frequency out of it You could have mentioned the right thing to do is ditch the stock HU if its an option.
I run a sound stream harmony audio processor I am running an iPad mini I used the optical input and hard wired a Bluetooth modulator to run the iPad I am using a 400 watt amp for my components in the front and 6 x 5 in the rear I have a 800 watt amp running a JL 10 in sub I have a hatch back so that is loud enough for me I like my processor it's not the top of the line but it does the job thanks for the videos I watch them all the time
I've got the Alpine PXA-H800 and thinking of selling it and buying the Arc Audio PS8 which is apparently the best on the market due to it's extensive tuneabilty.
And this is why i didn't go audison for my processor and went with a Helix C-DSP lol. Audison has been notorious for not loading or installation issues :P
I am trying to build a system from scratch by doing away with the head unit all together and using a tablet for a source. What is the best choice for an interface between the tablet and the amplifiers? Would an Equalizer be suitable, or would you recommend going with a full-fledged processor?
Alpine H701 - I don't think I'll ever change it :) So intuitive, and sooo rare these days ! And there's NO need for wasting 3 days for installing software that doesn't work ^^
Take the Reckhorn DSP from Germany. The DSP-6 Mini with 12V Adapter. Software on Reckhorn.com for free. It costs 160€. It‘s a DSP and not an Amp. You can use it on every amp. You have 6 Outputs. Maybe there are better ones but for 160€ it´s really good. The only one negative thing, it has no Hi Input. You need Cinch. I use it in my Toyota and it‘s great.
Good work Doug, glad you did a recap on that Toyota install and the attention to detail on the power wire was a nice touch. Do you think that Audison had enough power? I always like to have more power or head room. Do you think it has that?
Looking for answers- I have a epic160 indash by audio control, and I have(from a trade) a brand new sealed Rockford fosgate 360.1 idk if I should drop it off at good will or what , if it's still usable id use it for now, otherwise ill be buying the massive audio flatline, ive been rockin massive audio products since 2000 they came out in 98 & I swear by there products not at them, they are like the cleanest and best sounding products ive ever bought, I love fosgate as much as anyone but the sad truth is- like most brands, money is the root of all evil it's only a matter of time until they build quantity over quality and just because they are some of the best products in the car audio world doesn't mean someone out there doesn't have something better....
Audiocontrol DM-810 right now into 2 Alpine PDX-F4 amps but looking to possibly switch to Audison F8.9. Has about the same power but think I would lose some on the tuning. Benefit would be reducing 3 components to 1.
I just installed the Audison AP8.9 bit in my car (2015 Mini Cooper). The unit puts out 130wrms bridged at 4 ohms (not 70 like Doug said). I drive all speakers with the built in amp (even a shallow 10" Hertz sub) and the power is enough for relativly sane listening levels. It is really easy to tune as it has auto correct EQ on the input channels and the PC interface is really intuitive and modern (compared to mosconi which feels a bit like windows 3.1). Delay (time correction) does not cause echo when using the handsfree which seems to be an issue with the JBL MS8. Installation and setup is pretty straight forward, tuning requires time and a basic RTA. I used the Audio Tools iOS app RTA to tune the system to a point where it was pretty flat, and went by ear from there to get the sound the way I wanted. Still have some tweaking to to to get it perfect though.
I'm digging this. I have to say, this provided me with some critical info. Question.. How big a difference did this install make, with regards to sound quality?
i use audison bit10 for 1 spl dynamics monoblock(spl 15" bass) 2 spl dynamics 4-channel (spl dynamics 8" midbass x4 bridged) and a small blaupunkt 4 channel for tweeters..spl dynamics there to ofc =)
How big of a breaker do i need to run my car off of? I am relocating the battery to the trunk in my car and going to do the big 3 with 1/0 gauge. I want to put a breaker on the main power going to the alternator. So it needs to run every thing on the car.
I wish this guy would make videos that could actually help people. He probably knows a lot and could be a good teacher.I see the title and click on only to watch 25 seconds and turn it off....pretty much the same process I go through with all of his "tutorials"...
Well Doug. When you will use some proper processors like Alpine H900 or Pioneer RS-P99x ? And I dont hear you talking about TA (time alingment), Thats is the main thing to get your system to sound properly.
Yes to time alignment, no to alpine processors! ; ) Although I've never actually used that one so i really don't know. I'm just pissed about their tuneit head units. It is so incredible when all of a sudden the sound from all the speakers reaches you at the same time; if you close your eyes the sense of the location of each speaker goes away and instead you can hear the position of each instrument in the mix. Not an easy thing to do at all, especially for more than one listening position. Because the speed of sound is finite changes in space cause changes in time, it's like the theory of general speaker relativity =D lol!
Rofl...he's kinda right but I say get as much use out of it as you can. It's not like the audio apps are very processor intensive, or the new computers less troublesome when using small oem software.
Matthew Long Looks like it costed him a lot of time though, which is opportunity cost. Although I'm thinking he usually uses a Mac or something from what I've read in the comments.
Dylan Morgan yep he does lol which is likely why he spent most of his time trying to figure out why it wouldnt install properly. and then again some programs wont work with 7 and have to install in xp mode. believe it or not..
wax333 yup but he would be ok but he needs to install the D.A Dual convertor with the 3 track beaming and it would be running good ... but a new laptop would work too
+msul78 That's a Dell D630. It is pretty old but if you pop in an SSD drive in there it works great. It's also got a serial port built in so if you've got any equipment that uses that then the laptop can be very versatile.
I have a Misconi 6to8DSP running all active it's a great unit, have full time alignment , high level, low level, optical input, clip protection software, the GUI is a bit tough at first but has almost infinite tuning setting. Has variable Q settings, time alignment to .02mm group delay, notch filters and I have a Bluetooth dongle so I can tune( in real time) from the drivers seat with no cords. If you know anyone who has this check it out or see the guys at Orca Design.
There's the new alpine pix H800 replaced the old 700. I chose it over the audison love the rux control alows so much more control over the audison with out a laptop. And it has the road eq but not tried out that to see if it's a gimmick.
I love and watch your video all the time. I recently bought a 2014 toyota tundra sr5 double cab. My head unit does not have have the JBL system. It does not have navigation, but has the center channel. I recently bought focal Flax up front and Focal intergrations for the rear. I bought a Alpine pdx-V9 to run the system and an Audison Bit Ten . What can you tell me about installing the Audison Bit Ten
RAY D Ray, did you get it installed? I have a 2015 SR5 w/ entune premium and Nav. I just rewired mine today. I took the signal from the HU pre amp instead of after the amp and it sounds much better.
your the billy big dog for car audio you rock daddyo' I HAVE A AUDISON BIT ONE WILL IT WORK IJUST BOUGHT A NEX 2016 8200 BUT THEY TOOK MY BIT ONE OUT WOULDENT IT BE BETTER WITH THE NEW HEAD UNIT?
I've used and tuned with many processors, my favorite by far is the Helix (I use the Helix Pro), and the RF 360.3 would be second on my list. Not much else comes close for me
+Captain Buff the Third I agree man. The Helix is my favorite, with the 360.3 (NOT 360.2) as a close second. if money is tight, the PPI unit is great also, and even going down to the Mini DSP. The Audison Bit 10 and Bit 1 are pretty horrible when it comes to features and usability. The Arc PS8 was more buggy than anything, and not very user friendly. And the Mosconi has great features and tunability, but it looks like the software was written by a third grader in the 90's.
They are basically the same unit, the Soundstream and PPI unit, and they are a Mini DSP based unit. Some people don't like that it is only 2V output, but if you're on a budget, you do what you have to. You do have to have solid grounds, but you should always have a solid install regardless of price. The only catch with the Mini DSP is you have to buy the separate software packages (crossovers, TA, EQ, etc), but the 88R already has all that installed, with some cool graphical features as well. Also, the mini has I think 7 bands of eq on the output (and a few on the input also), where the 88R has 31 bands per side IIRC.
What do u think about the dq-61? I have it hooked up on my 2013 f150 fx4, running audison voce k6 and arc audio xdi 600.4 Couldn't get a good rta flat line? Any ideas?
Well the Alpine F#1 H990 was great for me, but I sold it. Now the Mosconi 6to8, that things cool. The bit one sounds good (have one of those too) but they die after about a year all the time. Check out Audio Frog well you are looking at new shit, some very cool speakers.
I was looking at that. So you still using it now? If not, what happened? I was worried that it might suck up too many amps through my power inverter. You have to get XLR to RCA's right?
Totally awesome epic episode of SoundMan Doug i like that audio sound processor. Seams like it's a pain in the butt to start off with but once you get used to it becomes easy . I love the way you and Rafa talk smack on each other i missed you guy's. I did find a used Soundstream processor for sale I'm saying no on it
that's some funny shit right there. Have you had any luck with the RF3Sixty stuff? I just gutted the .2 version from my system. Fucker never worked right trying to work with my Acura stock head unit. Lots of shop time and plenty of emails and calls to RF tech guys, no go.
For the record, Mosconi has DSPs with ampflifers built into it, but having a more powerfull amp + the dsp is in my opinion a better solution :) My setup is: Mosconi 6to8 V8 (4way dsp) Mosconi AS200.4 (ca 2kwrms 4ch amp, for midbass and mids) Mosconi AS100.2 (ca 500wrms 2ch amp, for highs) Mosconi AS300.2 (ca 2kwrms 2ch amp, for bass) Pioneer Deh 80prs (headunit) All the speakers and sub are from Digital Designs It plays really good :)
I have a DQ-61 and at first it was hooked up to the factory output of the amp, but it sounded like ass, so I went and hooked it up before the amp today and it sounds a lot better, and so does the bluetooth. I have a 2015 Tundra w/ Nav and entune plus. AC recommended I do it after the amp, but that tundra amp is shit, and it has a low pass filter on it. meh.
I used a 3sixty.3 and it was easy to install and worked great aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd tttttttttttttheeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnn......two weeks later is shit the bed so i called Rockford Fosgate and they told me it would be around $250.00 to fix it....after i spent 700 on it....I talked to a couple people on car audio forums and they all said that POS is hit or miss...Thank you Rockford Fosgate for the JUNK....!!!!
you don't know what you are doing and you damaged it!!!!!! I have one installed on a Bose OEM system, had it for 2 years already and works fine! Awesome product!
been installing for 25 years! and I do think! only other conclusion is that you got a bad one. Just because yours went bad doesn't mean all 3sixty3 processors are pos! think before you comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow 25 years...I'm proud of you...let's all clap for write2rc!!!! Never had any other processor go bad at all....first one was this $700 paper weight and then to tell me they know what's wrong because they have seen it before let's me know I'm not alone....I've seen people like you over the years...just because they own something they think it's the best ever!...that's OK to be proud I guess but mine was a POS!!!
just cause they have seen this before doesn't mean all of them are a pos, and I have also seen people like you say a certain piece of equipment is a pos because just cause thiers went bad! For your information I had a LC7i that did work but distorted too much, you don't here me saying that it's the best or cry about it and say it's a $179 paper weight. I switched out with the 3sixty3 that for your info works awesome! If you hate your POS so much why don't you spend another grand on a audison bit one? and stop crying!
Before all that hassle...I used a expensive set of headphones, Beyerdynamic DT 1770 pro...and with my good computer BIT output setting to max..24 bit 192000..I listen to KNOWN top quality sounding songs over and over then play it in the car and set and tweak or redo....Ive changed EXPENSIVE speakers often for average /above average and let customer listen to / for them selfs.... I have laugh many times on how a pair Of Lanzar coaxial from 2005 sounded better then Focal's
This video looks like it belongs in the 90's....on MTV. But anyway, everyone who know anything about car audio knows that the Audison Bit one HD is the King of DSPs
I disapprove of the properly installed power cables, what with a circuit breaker, and braided wire loom, shrink tube and what not. Myself I prefer a a cheapo clear red jacketed thick strand cable with clear fuse holder tek screwed to the air cleaner with the wire duct taped to the radiator hose. That's how my pappy taught me that's how I'll teach ma young'ns.

Helix DSP Pro MK2... and Mosconi Aerospace 8 to 12.. I have used both.. both are nice... the Helix is just really really nice.
Im using an Alpine PXA-H800. It has 8 output channels, works pretty well. Lots of adjustments, and it comes with its own mic. Only problem is it is a little complicated to use initially. Though that might be the fact it is -14 outside and Im trying to adjust the eq.
I'm running Zapco DC Reference 1000.4, 750.2, 500.1, DRC-SL. Each amp has built in DSP(Processor) controlled with the DRC-SL or with a laptop.
If you (Doug) are at all considering upgrading that ancient Dell you've got there, a couple things to look into for a laptop:
An SSD will make the laptop not only way way quicker, but way less fragile as well, and less prone to being hurt if it's close to subwoofers since subwoofers tend to shake the living hell out of everything that hasn't been bolted down.
Mosconi DSP. Easy to adjust, software works, Can have separate profiles and loading them takes a few seconds.
I'm using 2 MiniDSP 2x4 to get 8 channels. Software works and is easy to use. Plus they only cost $105 each.
It it a pain in the ass to not have control of them in the same software interface or do you have them linked somehow?
No its not a pain. They are separate. I'm not an expert on them still learning. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone that wants plug and play.
That Audison sw looks a lot like the RF360.3
You could have mentioned what Toyota HU it is.
You could have mentioned that the DSP was not able to get a quality signal from the HU and not even a full range frequency out of it
You could have mentioned the right thing to do is ditch the stock HU if its an option.
Helix DSP Pro= alot of functionality, easy as fuck to use, and high quality processing.
H800 is better than a PS8 imo. 6to8, H800, and helix dsp pro should do better than ps8
Alpine H701 - I don't think I'll ever change it :)
So intuitive, and sooo rare these days !
I got Helix Match PP82DSP. Surprisingly good with my stock headunit.
Audiocontrol DM-810 right now into 2 Alpine PDX-F4 amps but looking to possibly switch to Audison F8.9. Has about the same power but think I would lose some on the tuning. Benefit would be reducing 3 components to 1.
Old school but nice piece. Audio control EQL
I'm very happy with the Audison ap4.9 bit amp dsp...so many features that I can play with instead of myself
I was about to mention to you that Enterprise was misspelled on your website, but I see you fixed it.
who gives a f**k about spelling yo, talk about the subject better!
I'm going to use it it's the gladen mosconi 6 to 8. you can create you're own frequency and adjust it . Price is pretty unbeateble
Audio controll LCQ-1 it has 6 channels with preamp front and rear has 6 channel equaliser and sub channel has 5 channal equaliser
i use audison bit10 for 1 spl dynamics monoblock(spl 15" bass) 2 spl dynamics 4-channel (spl dynamics 8" midbass x4 bridged) and a small blaupunkt 4 channel for tweeters..spl dynamics there to ofc =)
What do you think of the Audison bit 10
How big of a breaker do i need to run my car off of? I am relocating the battery to the trunk in my car and going to do the big 3 with 1/0 gauge. I want to put a breaker on the main power going to the alternator. So it needs to run every thing on the car.
I wish this guy would make videos that could actually help people. He probably knows a lot and could be a good teacher.I see the title and click on only to watch 25 seconds and turn it off....pretty much the same process I go through with all of his "tutorials"...
John Adams watch the older videos.
The Mosconi 6to8 is awesome and I love mine.
Well Doug. When you will use some proper processors like Alpine H900 or Pioneer RS-P99x ?
And I dont hear you talking about TA (time alingment), Thats is the main thing to get your system to sound properly.
I did on my 6t08 dsp
Yes to time alignment, no to alpine processors! ; ) Although I've never actually used that one so i really don't know. I'm just pissed about their tuneit head units. It is so incredible when all of a sudden the sound from all the speakers reaches you at the same time; if you close your eyes the sense of the location of each speaker goes away and instead you can hear the position of each instrument in the mix. Not an easy thing to do at all, especially for more than one listening position. Because the speed of sound is finite changes in space cause changes in time, it's like the theory of general speaker relativity =D lol!
You've got Windows 7 installed on a Dinosaur, get a new laptop man, it's 2015 for fuck sake!
If you know anyone who has this check it out or see the guys at Orca Design.
probably the best and easiest eq to tune.
Wish I could see a 98-05 Lexus gs300 install... Other than that great job on all the installs you all do
There's the new alpine pix H800 replaced the old 700. I chose it over the audison love the rux control alows so much more control over the audison with out a laptop. And it has the road eq but not tried out that to see if it's a gimmick.
Hey mang. I am having a heck of a time with my MKZ. I think I need to go out from my highs to a low adapter and then out to a dsp
Ryan's Range Report i did not install it yet. i have been waiting for a reply here.
Ryan's Range Report I have audison but ten to run my head unit
your the billy big dog for car audio you rock daddyo' I HAVE A AUDISON BIT ONE WILL IT WORK IJUST BOUGHT A NEX 2016 8200 BUT THEY TOOK MY BIT ONE OUT WOULDENT IT BE BETTER WITH THE NEW HEAD UNIT?
I want to say I love your channel it keeps me on my toes on the speaker head stuff
I have a rockford fosgate 3sixty.1, and i wanna know about of the quality?
I've used and tuned with many processors, my favorite by far is the Helix (I use the Helix Pro), and the RF 360.3 would be second on my list. Not much else comes close for me
+Captain Buff the Third
I agree man.
+Captain Buff the Third
no problem man, and if you need tips on tuning, I have a whole video series on it on here
whats the difference between the zapco dsp z8 and the rf 360.3 and helix dsp
What do u think about the dq-61? I have it hooked up on my 2013 f150 fx4, running audison voce k6 and arc audio xdi 600.4
Couldn't get a good rta flat line? Any ideas?
Wich amplifier would be good with a focal 165v30 and a jl 8w1v3?
Brother I laughed so hard I think I wet myself a little.
Well the Alpine F#1 H990 was great for me, but I sold it. Now the Mosconi 6to8, that things cool. The bit one sounds good (have one of those too) but they die after about a year all the time. Check out Audio Frog well you are looking at new shit, some very cool speakers.
Again a dope video !
Maybe you can teach us "how to optimize speaker boxes", for better sound quality ?
(If you want to)
Keep up this great work !
Is there a specific date when a new episode comes out?
What episode is it when you show that dash paint that matches oem?
The infinity kappa clarify DSP built into the kappa amps. I have the kappa K4 amp with kappa speakers.
Just came from the fab kitchen, that mush mouth ain't got no flavor. I'm looking for a spicy DSP vid.
I just come here to read the whiners and haters comments. :D
Can you show us how to steal a Low-level input from factory head unit ?
I've used rockford 360's and probably one of the best out there
Mosconi new 8 to 12 selling Mosconi 6to8v8 soon at CES they had some killer shit coming soon!
I have a D630 with the flashing failing battery light too, has my BMW diag software on it ;)
I use a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3, best audio processor ever
Have you tried an audiocontrol dqdx? ? Any thoughts on it??
its not built for car audio but I use a "DBX DriveRack pa" I really like it
I was looking at that. So you still using it now? If not, what happened? I was worried that it might suck up too many amps through my power inverter. You have to get XLR to RCA's right?
Hey @Doug Bernards, how'd you find those circuit breakers compared to fuses? aren't they too sensitive to fluctuations? Thanks!
Totally awesome epic episode of SoundMan Doug i like that audio sound processor. Seams like it's a pain in the butt to start off with but once you get used to it becomes easy . I love the way you and Rafa talk smack on each other i missed you guy's. I did find a used Soundstream processor for sale I'm saying no on it
I have and 12 acura tl tech l should I replace the processor in it with something
that's some funny shit right there. Have you had any luck with the RF3Sixty stuff? I just gutted the .2 version from my system. Fucker never worked right trying to work with my Acura stock head unit. Lots of shop time and plenty of emails and calls to RF tech guys, no go.
Try alpine PXE-08505 that you can set it up on the tablet and change went you are driving as is 10 Chanel’s
I use audio control eqx with the epicenter plus with a boss bx55 soon to b upgraded to a mclaren audio mlx1000
sir, can you review deh80prs from pioneer? this thing has a build in dsp or something. also crossover for each channels.
also I am using it.
Best DSP have to be the Mosconi 6to8 V8, it has no amp built in to it, but damn its good ;)
For the record, Mosconi has DSPs with ampflifers built into it, but having a more powerfull amp + the dsp is in my opinion a better solution :)
My setup is:
Mosconi 6to8 V8 (4way dsp)
Mosconi AS200.4 (ca 2kwrms 4ch amp, for midbass and mids)
Mosconi AS100.2 (ca 500wrms 2ch amp, for highs)
Mosconi AS300.2 (ca 2kwrms 2ch amp, for bass)
Pioneer Deh 80prs (headunit)
All the speakers and sub are from Digital Designs
It plays really good :)
I have a DQ-61 and at first it was hooked up to the factory output of the amp, but it sounded like ass, so I went and hooked it up before the amp today and it sounds a lot better, and so does the bluetooth. I have a 2015 Tundra w/ Nav and entune plus. AC recommended I do it after the amp, but that tundra amp is shit, and it has a low pass filter on it. meh.
***** what was your final exterior dimensions for that box?
Does anyone know any shops in the U.K that specialise in tuning and adding processors?
+doug is there a link to where i can purchase this?
It's come a long way since the RF Symmetry Ep2x
fosgate 360 in Big GameZ ride could use some help tuning it up..
that is why a GED is always a good thing to have
I used a 3sixty.3 and it was easy to install and worked great aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd tttttttttttttheeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnn......two weeks later is shit the bed so i called Rockford Fosgate and they told me it would be around $250.00 to fix it....after i spent 700 on it....I talked to a couple people on car audio forums and they all said that POS is hit or miss...Thank you Rockford Fosgate for the JUNK....!!!!
you don't know what you are doing and you damaged it!!!!!! I have one installed on a Bose OEM system, had it for 2 years already and works fine! Awesome product!
Yeah that's why it worked perfectly for 2 weeks and then nothing....I've been installing for 17 years....think before you speak!
been installing for 25 years! and I do think! only other conclusion is that you got a bad one.
I have laugh many times on how a pair Of Lanzar coaxial from 2005 sounded better then Focal's
the DT 1170 i got recently , not really any better than the ones i was using
thumbs up for using SMD equipment!
got a mosconi 104.5 dps in my BMW F11 with gladen speakers 😊
Please make an episode on how you professionally wired everything: )
This video looks like it belongs in the 90's....on MTV. But anyway, everyone who know anything about car audio knows that the Audison Bit one HD is the King of DSPs
I disapprove of the properly installed power cables, what with a circuit breaker, and braided wire loom, shrink tube and what not. Myself I prefer a a cheapo clear red jacketed thick strand cable with clear fuse holder tek screwed to the air cleaner with the wire duct taped to the radiator hose. That's how my pappy taught me that's how I'll teach ma young'ns.
Lol!
Honest question, why do I need a audio processor?
