- Edmund Optics® is an industry leader in laser crystal cutting, polishing, and coating. Follow laser crystals through their entire manufacturing process in the Edmund Optics Florida facility. Our skilled engineers work with a wide range of materials including doped and undoped YAG, YLF, KTP, YALO, phosphate-doped glasses, and more. Watch our precision polishing processes that improve coating adhesion, reduce losses, and increase laser-induced damage threshold.

The real question. How can we leverage this technology to improve a telescope?
before you suggest the tech is different or incompatible, consider first - what if?
Telescope technology already uses doped crystalline materials and deposited coatings. Can you be more specific? Like characterizing intergalactic field polarization or something? It's not a naive field, you can share ideas and it's likely already been done, and with less advanced tools than this.
