When you stop gathering together as Christians and reading the Word of God, it's not long before you fall away from faith and get caught up in the World. John and Arden discuss the importance of reading the Word of God daily, the effects that the Word has on our hearts and minds, and ultimately the trajectory of our lives. To stay anchored in life, we must keep the Word of God at the forefront of our days.

People who are truly born again, have been through the birth canal of repentance, who have an in-built inherent desire for the Word, to pray and to fellowship.

We need spiritual food. The Bible is the best food we can eat. "Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Amen this is so true! Jesus said apart from Me you can do nothing so I really don't understand how people are out here trying to make it without Jesus!

I love God. This was much needed this morning. I was just asking God last night in my prayer time what I am missing because I feel a disconnect from Him. I try to read everyday, but when I don’t I feel really empty and alone. Thank you to all those who pour out their heart in the comments because it just reminds me that we are all in this together no matter where we live. We are family in Jesus and must remain close to him in the Word.

Matt 7:13-14 I’ve learned that the ones that make it are not flowing with the majority of Christians. The few that make it on the road to heaven are determine no matter what. Verse 14 the few make that narrow road to heaven don’t think like the majority, they “press thru”. They were constantly consistent. Reading declaring and studying the word of God is not an option. It’s a way of life.

I read my Bible almost everyday. I still have attacks of doubt come at me that I am not good enough for God's grace. We have to stay close to God and his Word in order to combat all this negativity surrounding us. Great lesson here!

    • @patrickmba7638

That's the whole meaning of grace. Undeserved kindness and mercy. Feelings of being not good enough is indicative of still trying to work to be good enough. We don't have to do that anymore. He has given us righteousness as a GIFT. Yep. In Romans,Paul writes FREE GIFT. To emphasize God's wonderful kindness to us. All we have to do with this gift, just as with any other gift, is just to simply receive it. And how do we receive it? Through faith in Jesus Christ and his finished works on our behalf.

Mr. Bevere puts the balme on the believers when in fact the blame should be on the current pastoral leadership style. We pastors are not teaching our converts but we celebrate them when they convert but leave them as babes. When we as pastors teach and admonish our people of who they are in Christ and thier new position, then we will have no problem with the one who has the world under his sway. Mr Bevere is not a pastor ... he is not even working in a local church but has a ministry, if you can call it that, of pointing out the problems of the Church. Sadly christians are attracted to the law preaching ... as you can see in the comments ... "oh I needed that" "oh I try to do this or that ex reading" ... just hearing " I try to" or " I am not good enough" shows the comment readers that most of the Western church is under works, law and condemnation ... maybe Mr Bevere you can touch on those things.

There's so much error in that paragraph it's difficult to even touch on everything...if you've watched him over the years he certainly does touch on pastoral shortcomings as well as personal accountability. I think you're just nitpicking and venting personal frustration, and it happens to be projected on John B. It happens, I definitely understand from the past.

Pastors shouldn’t be focused on making converts…but disciples. Sir, the word pastor shouldn’t be a title, but a way of life. No where in the Bible does it talk about attending a “local congregation”. Sir, you are stuck in a form of religion that you think is following Jesus but doesn’t. The modern church institution is following in the way of the Pharisees, Sadducees, and religious leaders of old.
Bevere is right. PEOPLE READ YOUR BIBLES FOR YOURSELF! In the last days(the days until Jesus returns) many will be deceived by these deceived pastors and religious leaders who don’t obey the simple words of Jesus.

Accountability always falls back to the individual. Yes, leaders are held to a higher standard in God's eyes; however, the believers who sit under false teaching are also held accountable. If we truly have Holy Spirit, He brings us to all truth; it's up to us, the believer, the minister, or whoever, to walk in the Spirit, and not in error. If we seek a personal relationship with God, then we only have ourselves to blame when we don't obey.

Understand God’s Purpose in Government. God’s “kingdom rules over all” (Psalm 103:19) so we must be not lose hope in the midst of the ups and downs of political life. One day, “every knee will bow…every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:10-11), but until that day, God has instituted government as a form of common grace to both believers and unbelievers. Along with the family, it is a form of societal organization. Government is designed to restrain and deter evil, but also is designed to be a proponent of good (Romans 13:4). Even when governmental authority acts evil, it is still ultimately under God’s authority. ( Trustworthy Word is the source) Since we all have seem to forget that Jesus teaches love. WWJD ❤. 😂😂 I mean unless you're to narrow that we use different languages of course we have different names for God. The book ain't big enough for us all have the same and whole story. Plus culture I'd imagine, or are to in the mind that when you're born, there's a lottery.😂 If you cracked open a history books, your repeating for WE ended up in 🇺🇸 .❤🙏🏾🇺🇸🥰

This is accurate because I have been drifting and without fully realizing until very recently that I was in most areas of my life living and liking the world and despising the Lord and Savior Jesus but I have since repented and I thank the Holy Spirit and other Christ followers in my life who are honest to tell me the truth

And 99 percent of the so-called preachers on RUclips only read the book of Paul and get their salvation only from there because they happen to think that Paul teaches their itchy ears what they want to hear!!! So much of the Bible is taken out of context that is very sad!!!! People Jesus did say my people are destroyed because of their lack of knowledge his people very sad!!!!

I'm really not sure what your point is about 99% reading only the letters of Paul. Apart from the fact that he was given a wonderful, complete revelation of the gospel of grace DIRECTLY by the Lord himself, what makes you say that?

@@candrawilliams6825 oh definitely I agree with you we go straight to our father it just eats me up inside the things that are being preached on RUclips and people falling for the lies that just keeps them in bondage to sin all their life, it just really really bothers me!!!

@@JBM101 boy did you ever take that the wrong way I don't take anything out of context, I guess I got to be more specific on here because people don't understand the word of God yes it was written in Proverbs Proverbs was written by King Solomon, I know that but everything in the Bible is backed up from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! So he technically didn't say it out of his own words but he 100% backs it up that's what I meant!! Sorry next time I'll be more elaborate!!!

Jusssst like the Apostole PAUL,I started to feel like an atheist is much better than the SUGAR-COATED Believers .
Also, I don't feel the need to prove my personal faith to anybody because I am pleased with my intimate relationship with the Lord,in which "HE is Mine and Iam HIS Beloved 🤍"
