Not bad. I might try to obtain one just to play with, I just hate cleaning black powder LOL.

I bought the same Uberti last March from MidwayUSA and mine did not pass the initial inspection. I could not advance the cylinder on all chambers. A little stone work on the cylinder ratchet (that was quite rough) fixed that but it left me a little disappointed at Uberti. I have both Uberti and Pietta revolvers and had always had the opinion that Uberti was the better quality gun. I have an Uberti Griswold and Gunnison made in 1969 that is the smoothest of all my revolvers and you can literally feel the quality just holding it in your hand. I have never had a problem with a Pietta out of the box. I think Uberti's quality has slipped a bit.

It seems Uberti quality is all over the place. Like you I always thought Uberti the higher quality option, not so sure anymore. While very happy with mine I do hear different reports.

Love my 1861 Uberti I also have a pietta 1851, very nice shooters, you’ll love it, I’ve posted shooting vids of mine, Remington no. Caps work perfect in this gun, I did have to do some deburring to smooth the action out but that’s normal for most of these reproductions

@@CalNoble no. 10 sorry I didn’t include the size in my comments, the cci no. 11’s work from what I’ve been told as well, I just haven’t tried those out yet for myself, caps are hard to come by these days, as soon as they become available they seem to sell out fast so keep checking stores like Cabela’s Bass pro etc

Wow absolutely beautiful. I’ve been thinking of getting the 1851 or 1861.
Do you know what model year yours is? A 2024 version?
