Error 09, Autoterm Air / Planar Diesel parking heater (PU-5 control unit: 4x flashing): Defective glow plug
Error 9 means the glow plug of the auxiliary heater cannot be found electrically. In the vast majority of cases, this happens as a result of transport damage or if the ceramic pin of the glow plug is broken as a result of a fall or brute force.
To rectify the fault, the glow plug must be replaced by an authorized service partner. Outside of the warranty period, the repair can theoretically also be carried out by yourself, but it is advisable to commission the service to do this, as errors can easily be made and the ceramic of the glow plug is sensitive.
