I feel like there needs to be an honorable mention for the goombastomp vindicator build where you take superior sigil of stamina and just death drop dodge to chain kill mobs out in the open world- tons of fun, especially in core tyria since you one shot almost everything.
i tried it, and the situations where constantly dodging is happening is only in situations where it doesn't really matter that you're constantly dodging. In others where you fight a big boss, you lose that ability when you need it most. Energy sigils are jsut more reliable
So this has got me wanting to play Rev now 😅 hopefully the PvE build is still viable for open world stuff. I’m loving the idea of Greatsword and Dual Swords
I've been loving Vindicator lately...I like how you use dual swords and gs here...I'd love to see an updated concept on this build now that vindicator has 2 dodges...I'm surprised you don't make a bigger emphasis on maintaining the dodge to keep the strike damage buff it gives, but maybe that's because of only having the one dodge back then...I see most builds running with staff instead of the dual swords now so I'm wondering if you'd still use this set up...great video!
Since Steam release is close and the new player influx is quite high could you make a video about recommending classes for PVP or something like that? Like top 3 easiest to get into PVP builds? I want to get into PVP but it's so hard.
Since song of arboreum now gives only 25%, meaning vigor gets to 62,5%, it would now be very well compatible with the orrian truffle and meat stew? -> you would reach 102,5% and cap is 100. So not wasting much. :)
You know, Vindicator won't be AS squishy if you go with Jalis and Retribution traits over Devastation traits, along with a bit of toughness to convert into more power with Versed in Stone, which also automatically activates Rite of the Great Dwarf even when not using Jalis. I personally wouldn't recommend Shiro for Riposting Shadows only in WvW or PvP since it takes up far too much energy in all honest, but I suppose you could just use that one sparingly and get Shiro for Phase Traversal for good distance closers or to help you get away. But you did make this video with only one build in mind though..

Nice guide. I main Rev but I'm not fan of the new spec. I don't entirely consider this a "one build" since doesn't share the same legebds and traitlines from PvE to WvW/PvP. For PvE I found that Vindi is squishy for the damage output that brings out (which is not larger than the ones from condi Rev or condi Revenant, which had way more sustain and keep dealing damage while defending) or compared to the condi Willbender, which entirely outclases Vindi in PvE. It would want at least a +15%/+20% damage increase at PvE for use it at anything beside alt parking. Too low dps/sustain ratio for a pure mele spec. For WvW seems decent (not entirely nerfed there) but by far the hardest to play Rev spec. Not my fav, but usable. At PvP is now dead; its heals are now Firebrand levels of bad (with less utility) and has so much stuff focused in your (double endurance cost, not stackable) evade (jump) that when fails (or you get weakened, chilled, etc. ) you melt in seconds. My veredict is that is a badly designed spec since the game is designed to have double dodges, so when you cut it (Mirage) or expand it (Daredevil) the whole balance crumbles. Vindi is meant to be either overpowered due buffed stats or underpowered due silly mechanics. Definitely not noob friendly.

yup its pretty bad fighting all those rangers, but if you stick around for my bladesworn video youll see something that really counters them with reflects

Love this. Have been wanting to play a damage oriented vindi instead of just a bunker. This is exactly what I wanted from the class.

Good timing--I run a renegade which I enjoy but have just got my next lot of HP. Just deciding between Vindicator or Herald for solo PVE.

Is Vindicator's dodge a real dodge? Cause I am unable to dodge when I have a CC condition. ANY CC condition.
should be only immobilize when you cant dodge, just like every other dodge
