In regards to my opinion on newer post punk music - I like some of it. Bands like Lebanon Hanover, Twin Tribes, Sonsombre, She Wants Revenge, etc. are pretty good. But 70’s and 80’s post-punk is my favorite.

Oh, it’s very technical. John McGeoch was a guitar genius! There’s actually a lot of great examples of quite technical guitar playing in post-punk/goth. It’s not always just simple riffs and lead melody lines. A few examples of very technical guitar playing in post-punk songs are - “The Sweetest Chill” by Siouxsie, “Killing An Arab” by The Cure, & “Beyond The Pale” by The Mission.
The guitar riff from "Snake Dance" by the March Violets gets me every. SINGLE. TIME. It's just that good in my opinion, makes me want to dance even though I don't dance lol. "The Forest" is also a classic one as well. I dunno, there are so many awesome Goth guitar riffs that it's hard to decide which one I like over the other and the list would be constantly changing. One that I would personally include is a more recent one with the song "The Fall" by Autumn, the driving guitar riff in that song totally hits me like a rock lol.Anyway awesome video, you're guitar playing is amazing. :)

@Andy Wilx I played through Apple’s Garageband - so I didn’t use any physical guitar pedals. I did use the digital ones on Garageband. The pedals I used were flanger, chorus, distortion, overdrive, echo, & a compressor.

@@edhubble Yes indeed. Telecasters are probably one of the most versatile guitars. It probably goes #1 - Stratocaster & #2 - Telecaster. (In terms in versatility).
Thank you! All the songs are in standard (EADGBe) tuning - except on Romeo’s Distress I was tuned up a tad bit sharp on every string to match the studio recording.

This was filmed with an old 2013 iMac webcam. My new videos are filmed with a 2020 iMac webcam or iPhone 14 Plus now.
