Pulls up the back legs of your seat one handed while in the low position, also there is a pull string in front of seat to set the back legs in the high position.
Awesome video, are you able to drag your kayak with the unit installed or do you have to take it out? Say on shallow spots in a river/creek or going from the truck to the lake.
I can drag it around with it in. The transducer is recessed just a bit and out of the way of getting hit on anything. But when I’m the water it’s fully submerged.

Love the yak man she is an absolute beast the only concern I would have with the stake out pole is say you are in 6ft of water that would mean you would have roughly 4ft sticking out of your yak will that be hard to cast around? I guess if you are standing that won't be a problem
I was thinking depending on the wind and whatnot that would dictate in which scupper I would put the stake out pole. But you’re right it could be a hindrance.
Man this was a great review you did of your bonafide ss127. I love it man it looks sweet. I also like how you show how you put on your fish finder on the ss127. I do have a question though? Do you know how comfortable it is to stand-up barefooted 👣 on the kayak? I have to kayak Barefooted because i have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE wide with very fat wide toe that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. It's a wide foot man & cannot find a shoes , socks , or boot that's wide enough to fit my foot so it really sucks. But I want a bonafide so bad. I'm saving up to get one but I own my own tractor-trailer and everytime I turn around I have to do some type of maintenance on it. If it ain't tires , oil changes , or light out , it's something. & I'm trying to support my wife , 5 sons , and a granddaughter. Something's always taking my extra change that I had saved up for the bonafide. Good video brother thank you for sharing.
@@texaswiles5606 okay not sure. It looks like it will be comfortable though. I was just wondering cuz I'm a chubby dude & Fat Self step on some pads that was discomfort on the feet. Of course my weight doesn't help that. " LOL" but I appreciate that man.
You’re correct. Wow, I thought I had it in there this whole time. Here it is though Garmin 010-12006-11 Transducer... www.amazon.com/dp/B071NG24PH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I just bought a SS107 and also waiting to get in the water. And you made that look easy installing. Thanks for sharing

That’s what I was thinking yesterday. At the time though I had no idea. Thanks for the verification.

Do you think i should mount my transducer lower than the walls of the kayak for better performance?
It should be a close to the water as it can be if you’re doing an in-hull mount. For best results it needs to be in the water.
What size bits did you use to drill the holes for the cables
The single was 1/2” and the double was 5/8” then I used rubber grommets to avoid any abrasions on the cables.
where did you get the bracket for the transducer ?
I got it from Amazon. It was like $20 at the time but I think they’ve since jacked up the price. I’ll see if I can find a link.

I had to drill out the slots a little bit to make it fit but it works perfect.

Not sure about the barefoot thing. I imagine it wouldn’t be an issue. The decking is padded so it would probably be pretty easy.

How are you liking the SS127 so far?
I absolutely love it.
@@texaswiles5606 Awesome - thanks for the reply. This one is at the top of my list right now. Gonna have to find a rudder for it I think.
What transducer bracket did you use?
The link to it is in the description.
@@texaswiles5606 thats just to the actual unit itself did your just come with that bracket?
