I just found your post about the scrapbook you made when your friend passed away. I lost my mom in Feb. 2020 and my dad in Feb. 2021 and I have just made scrapbooks on their lives. It was so wonderful to relive those stories they told us and the memories we mae together. I think it was really therapeutic for my grieving process. I love scrapbooking & journaling! I have ptsd, & I found that , it calms me. I’m not a creative person at all. But I do want to learn..especially to do like these, they’re so amazing! *This video..is so relaxing!🤤 I love it! The books are beautiful!*

I'm revisiting scrapbooking. I used to scrap a lot in high school. 10 years later, I have my first child and I realize that in this age of technology, i don't have any physical photos... it's all in my phone! I needed this! Thanks!

Templets are also nice. I started with one templet that had 6 shapes. At first, I used my cookie cutters for stars and heart embellishment if that helps anyone. Someday, maybe, I'll get one of those fancy cutter machines.
Where has this video been all my scrapping life?!?!?! LOL. I started out with the 12x12 paper packs and everything separate. I have become a fan of the kits as well. Lesson learned because I have a stash that makes me sigh everytime I look at my stuff. You did a fantastic job on this!!

I’m just starting out out with scrapbooking, I found my mom’s old scrapbook for when my sisters and I were growing up and I felt inspired to start one for myself so I can show my kids one day or to look back on when I get older myself , this video is very helpful. I went to hobby lobby today and purchased my first one and created my title page I’m so excited to see where mine goes!

Something my neighbor is very fond of is "antiquing" the paper and photo edges with tinted ink (like as a pale blue or vanilla color). I think it looks pretty neat but it's an aesthetic choice.

I was trying to find a subtle way to suggest using my scrapbook kit products to help people get started and then let them branch out on their own. I love my ATG tap runner gun. It is bulky but like you said, once you know how to store it, it is a must have. I got mine at a scrapbook expo along with 2 packs of tape to go with it for $15. You're right don't pay full price.

I trace around the bottom of cans goods or vitamin containers to draw a circle ⭕️ and then use it as a pattern for more. Anything that has the shape and size you want can be used.

A veteran scrapper here. Started in 1995. Put it aside when the kids were in high school. Now they are in college. We had some not so happy events happen from 2005-2012 & again this year. (Thank you Covid & the CCC.) Anywho, knowing this, how do you handle the huge gaps? Just curious to know if anybody else has had this. I don’t like looking at the, very few, photos of those times. My second question is since I am behind, I have 12x12 albums that were never finished. Is it best to pick up where I left off or start current?

Walmart does have scrapbook supplies to start off with. You will def have options there. 👍🏼
