We are so lucky to have access to ALL THE THINGS! I began card making 40 years ago and all I had was paper, a black ink pad, stamps on a wood block and colored pencils. I still love to color with Prismacolor pencils and a blender; as for all the other things....YES YES YES.
Excellent coverage of what a beginner might need. The only thing that I would recommend is printed paper, for example, florals, birthday theme. I found that when I began I used printed paper until I could afford to buy some of the other things, like a variety of stamp sets. I would also recommend a good overall sentiment stamp set that covers a variety of phrases.
Even though I have no interest in making any cards, ur videos did teach me. I just love listening to your voice it’s very soothing 😊 ty !!

As a card maker for many years I think your recommendations for a beginner are on the mark! As someone that was afraid to color, I began stamping on colored cardstock (i,e, stamp the ducks on yellow cardstock, etc) with Memento ink then die cutting. I eventually became more comfortable with coloring.

Hi Bethany, I found your channel recently & subscribed! Your new room is just beautiful! I started paper crafting over 20 years ago. I went to a party and got hooked! I was recently engaged, so I bought all the supplies & made our wedding invitations & almost everything that required paper for our wedding. It’s such a fun hobby. I'd suggest an Anna Griffin Empress over the Gemini Jr. I have both and the Empress is easier to use, quieter and sturdier. I've had mine since 2018 with no issues at all.

A very useful beginner friendly video. It might seem an obvious thing to say, if you know, but it might have been useful for people just starting to fall down the card making rabbit hole, to know that there is a right and a wrong way up to place the dies :). Just a thought.

I had a coupon for our craft store and didn’t know what to use it on so I got a We R envelope maker but never used it. But wondering if you make your envelopes or buy the size you need?
I just buy A2 envelopes, or make them with my envelope maker...which I have a tutorial for!

I'm not sure if it's still available, but I found a we r memory keepers precision press on Amazon a few years ago. A little smaller, but like half the price!
