My pleasure you boys are killing it and I wish I had access to a road like yours (and that the rain would stop here!) Yes I saw the news on the Brisbane Lockdown, I should have the 2nd one built up tomorrow all being well and have a longer test spot in mind, but all the good straight roads here are pretty busy unless you're up at stupid o'clock (4.30pm and it's going dark so whilst filming after the evening rush hour in summer's okay it's out due to the light at the minute), but as we say if this were easy everyone would be doing it. Car is hooking up nicely now but any advice on keeping the front down is appreciated as that was getting Verrrrry light! Stay Safe

I do have a simple Front splitter design I made out of cheap alloy sheet I show on my next run. A little front weight helps too but most importantly you don't want to much down force from the rear wing. I run a modified 1/10 buggy wing or on a 144001 I cut vents in the stock wing and added some thin alloy plate for support. Can't wait to see your next build sounds like it going to be insane 💪
Starting to get back into RC. After being out of the game, for a good 10 years. With how far digital has pushed electric cars. I feel this is the new golden age of electric RC. WL toys really deliver with a pretty budget hobby car.

I think the car has more in it, although that front was getting a bit light and might need a front wing to help keep it down, but then low drag and low weight is what makes it so fast. By using the mamba x (rather than this sidewinder 4) I should be able to do some data logging (Sidewinder 4 doesn't have it), which even on the bench should help. I look forwards to your run. I would say with this combo it comes alive right at the top end so don't back off too early, I was having to brake hard at the end. Hopefully the 3.5T ups the game somewhat

You are not the only world’s fastest. I have run 104 mph with my 124019. Check the Wltoys 124019 Speed Run group on Facebook to see my video. I showed GPS at zero before the pass.
I am part of your group but I'd not put in a run to go on the leaderboard as I'd edited this for youtube, and I know you need it in one take. I shall do a run for the leaderboard when I get a chance. Awesome Fb group you have going and I'm picking up a lot of ideas along the way. Front on this is getting very light, all input on that much appreciated
@@DriftomaniacsRC I just checked on my cars , its just a couple minor modifications and a losi 22.5 front spoiler would fit super easy. Big ol front down force you can trim smaller for ur needs. I have only gone 64mph with mine (124019) so no additional down force is needed. It's crazy that you and that group are pushing that car so fast ⚙️🦾🤙
I am still awaiting on my 124019 to arrive. Let me say I researched for weeks until I chose this car and watched loads of videos. By far I have learned more and thoroughly enjoyed your videos the most. I am 53 today and just getting started and honestly have spent loads of money buying parts without even having the car yet, but, go big or go home. Keep them coming, thanks for the videos

Same here I ordered a 124019 back in December and it still has not shipped. With the 1/10th version of this coming out the middle of February I might cancel my order as well.
I ordered the 3 battery version it says it will ship before Jan28th. If I would have ordered one with no battery in would have got it in a week. I think they are out of stock in the us now

That was fast. Very fast and great driving. I recently burned out my stock motor and esc on 2s. I've got a surpass 550v2 and 60amp hobbyking esc on the way. Do you have any advice on battery's and gearing. I mostly race our homemade off road track but we do have potential for speed runs when I feel brave. Subscribed and learning from your videos. 👍

Yes the build is simple as there's a lot more room to work with than in the wltoys 144001, although that said I'd advise building up on the speed, if you're new to RC then 100mph is something to build upto, I'd hate to see you buy one then write it off first time out.

I used the castle B link on the car on the day (although) I don't normally leave it in the car I did this time so I could tweak the esc. It's about $39 and plugs between the esc and the Rx. Once you've set the parameters via your phone you can then remove it if needed and the esc retains the settings. I use it on a lot of cars so normally remove it. Hope that helps

metal pinion plastic spur, but you can but upgraded metal ones as a twin pack on amazon or ebay, that said this is still running the stock plastic spur!

He said if I get stronger batteries it can and will make the rc car go faster I just want to know if that’s true. Also if it is true what batteries do I get because he is trying to sell me -> sorry if it’s wrong-> 3s Lipo batteries but I don’t want to just buy it yet
The stock gears on the car hold the power well but they're an odd pitch and the spur fitment is pretty unique to the car which means that gear ratios can be a bit limited, however I did a mod 1 gear conversion for the 144001 which should work on this, by fitting mod 1 gears you make the gearing bulletproof but not only that you can then fit a wide range of ratios. Working on the video on it today. Hope all that makes sense

It took about 10 mins of endless low speed drives to get that steering super straight and I eased up the toe in since the last time out.
What can you do to get the most out of the stock brushed motor on the 124019?
