Evening Kevin! Happy holidays as well. It responds well to brushless (easy to fit as you'll see) and if you want to go ballistic I've shot a video sometime back on fitting mod 1 gearing that should help. I think this could be pushing 100 with the stock gears, but it was like driving on ice on the wet bits today. Stay safe. Sorry your 100mph car blew up again.

I have read about this combo it can only runs on 2s but is that posible too runt on 3s

Damn! Thats crazy fast in a 4wd 1/10 buggy. That motor has to absolutely milk the battery! I just bought a 6900kv motor to put in a 2wd losi 22b which is a better fit for that motor.

I have those same Contact Foams. Mine are on 4 tec. About to throw a arrma 2400kv 4s outcast stock motor and Mamba monster x and see what she will do after playing with gearing. Do you shave yours down so they are true all the way around? Awesome content as usual sir 👊
They have this with a 7700kv motor wonder if it would be ok on it
I'm not sold on it yet? but speed run first to see how fast to make that hidden number of MPH, and check for heat if it dose not shutdown, hopefully RITCHIE you can put to the test soon, I love racing in cold weather, always by reviewing it first, if it all gets better at the end of the run.

What tires are on there
I don't think that adjusting the ESC settings will help with the braking while using those tires, it seems like the traction/tires is the limiting factor.
Nice build Rich 👌 I would always recommend calibration with the pinion removed for safety but that's looking like it will have good speed run potential, it's similar to my set up let's see if it's going to be as quick 😎🤞
Kind words indeed. It was a bit hairy in the wet and I’ll need a lot longer area. Must adjust the esc in the morning as 50% braking as the enough. No standing water but the foams didn’t like the damp. I’ve run foams in the wet on my 4tec but that’s a lot heavier and the aero gives the foss as ms grip at a lot lower speed. All input appreciated I’ll see how fast we can go in this spec then might fit mod 1 gears
I live in san jose n also just did a brushless kit to mines where is the parking lot looks good for some runs

Hi, what servo did you choose that works with the 5volt Bec of the sidewinder 4 as I understand you cannot change that voltage? The links under the video seem to point to a different servo.
My son and I both have the 124019 on the way. What is the link for the foam tires you run??

amain hobbies (in CA) have them in stock or 'gonitrohobbies' on ebay (huge ebay seller of rc based in NJ)

I would say it would just about be okay on 2s but not 3s

I chose to use the new motor mount from the outset, the motors on the 144001 and on these seem notoriously hard to remove from the mount without damage to something! (Typically the screws strip due to excess red threadlock!). The twin pack of mounts I got here - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HVJF1GF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 they gone up a bit but are still under $20 for the pair.

Where can you get parts for crashes?
I find brick walls and curbs are easy to obtain for crashes.....oh my error I see what you mean! ebay and amazon, everything bar the body, chassis and driveshaft is the same as the 144001.

can I use the 7700 kv motor with the sw4 esc?
I would say yes but do be carefull on the battery used with it, it should be fine on 2S with moderate gear, it'll get very hot if you use it on 3S with that ESC (might kick the esc over temp in as well) and very hot if you go too mad on the gearing, but in prinicple it'll run on the SW4 I did look to fit the same motor as you mention but no stock anywhere when I looked. Car is so light the esc should cope. I think they rate both the 6900kv and the 7700kv as 2s motors, I'd have used a fan but no room for it!
So, the plastic gear can handle it?
This and the 124018 I converted the other week are both running the stock plastic spur, with metal pinions (even stock car pinion is metal)
I burned out my copperhead 10 running 3s on 6900kv 🤔

I would put it up against no prep drag racers just to see how it matches up.

I'm thinking at least 50 but I was barely on the throttle, even with the foams on the damp was making it like driving on ice, the 124018 I tested at the same spot in the dry was good on the foams. More rain tomorrow but I'll see if I can run it again later this week. Also all of the power is going to be at the top end so the best is yet to come
