From Neutrino physics, QFT, GUTs to the Higgs and further work on the Standard model. You should have given proof that his work was copied, we cant rely just on an allegation. Get a scientist on your channel who compares the two papers and shows the work is actually copied, or a third party independent source who claimed that the paper was copied.
Can i add to this? Salam met Weinberg in 1960 in Berkeley, CA. In 1961, Weinberg was invited to Imperial College by Salam and lived there for about a year, and maybe even lived with Dr. Salam and his family. This proves that Weinberg wanted Salam involved for the 1979 Nobel.
I did my Ph.D. (UK), postdoctoral research and my research career consists of over 37 years in Europe. I did doctor of habilitation in Germany. In my opinion, Dr. Salam is a noble Laurette, there is no question. He has presented a theory that leads to awards of noble price. My field of research is quite different from Dr. Salam's and I cannot share his opinion. Using Dr. Salam's name, I did not find any research paper in his name in PubMed. This is very common for Pakistani PhDs without any publication in international journals. Perhaps he did his PhD and research in the early seventies and his research paper is not available in PubMed but also not found in Google.

Qaisar's entire thesis rests on the word of two Jews (Glashow and Dombey). Qaiser preferred the word of Jews who say Muhammad (SAW) was a liar over a Qadiyani who says Muhammad (SAW) is not the last prophet, without providing any concrete evidence. In the scientific world, plagiarism is seen as a major offense. If Salam's work were in fact plagiarized, the committee would have revoked the prize and retracted the publication. Glashow was irked because both Weinberg and Salam did not include him in the original name of the theory. Salam was the first one to prove the theory mathematically, but since Qaisar sahab said so, we should accept that the person who proved a theory mathematically plagiarized the work of someone who wasn't able to do so. QAR has quoted some facts, and you can truly criticize him by presenting facts against his narrative. Mere calling names and abuse won't win you the case. Just to add one mesmerising fact here. Before his electroweak theory, Salam had done an exceptional work on “parity violation” and he sent the same work to Pauli, who was then considered to be the best physicist of that time. Pauli didnt agree with his work and consequently Salam didnt publish his work. After few years some scientists from china did the same work and they went on to receive Nobel. I was literally astounded, is he really physicist or educationalist, which, he claims for himself and can't verify the facts. Just bogus reality. Being a Mechanical Engineer, and a researcher, I am writing some major points that could indicate major flaws in Qaiser Raja's analysis. 1) There are many scientists, researchers that use previous/available data of other researchers to make a new conclusion/discovery. An example is the evolution of periodic table, how many scientists tried to race into shaping the elements into a set. Mendeleev's periodic table resulted in the modern periodic table and he is not much regarded. 2) Almost all scientists are challenged by others, even Albert Einstein has been proved wrong on more than 5 theories. There are books, research papers written to prove him wrong too. It's common to write a counter paper to disregard/challenge/disprove another researchers work. Using the same example as above for the ease of understanding, The periodic table's evolution displays how each scientist also came up with a new table mentioning clearly why the new table was better. Another example is atomic theories, Bohr Atomic model, Goldstein cathode ray tube etc, were studied, experimented and with just a slight loop hole in the original work, scientists bring someething new, naming it as their own. It's what keep scientists, researchers keep working; the competition and the gain of grants, prizes etc. 3) You don't conclude a result based of two books, (as he discussed only two). He shouldd have included atleast 7-8 reference papers/books to reach a conclusion that Abdul Salam was fake. 4) Formal gatherings are very necessary to network. If you want to meet top professors in Pakistan, how would you do it?
Lastly, Lectures are not recorded even now in many universities. Back then, tell me how could 1 lecture be recorded? Remember the timeline when this happened. How many students were reached if Qaiser sahab concluded that the lecture didd not take place? Yeah don't tell me that one book said none came forward. Salam is a gaint of modern theoretical physics. His work on the Electroweak theory is one part of his career, and there is so much more. From Neutrino physics, QFT, GUTs to the Higgs and further work on the Standard model.
His career is not just one line of inquiry that can be dismissed like this by a nobody, rather it spans over decades with contributions to some of the most challenging ideas of physics in his time. It has and will stand the test of time and people all over the world will continue to learn and benefit from it.

Glashow's allegations in his interview are pretty childish. my question is why didn't he raise the point during Salam's active lifetime if Salam so evidently plagiarized his work. 2) why the framework or model was initially named weinberg-salam model and glashow's name was only inserted after nobel prize in 1979.

Partial Symmetries of Weak Interactions 1961
Papers that Salam published:
Weak and Electromagnetic Interactions 1964. See references. Salam cited Glashow's work and mentioned it.
There is no overlap in the paper and is genuine work. No physicist ever said Salam plagiarized Glashow's work. Anyone with technical understanding of particle physics can see the difference.

Can i add to this? Salam met Weinberg in 1960 in Berkeley, CA. In 1961, Weinberg was invited to Imperial College by Salam and lived there for about a year, and maybe even lived with Dr. Salam and his family. This proves that Weinberg wanted Salam involved for the 1979 Nobel.

I did my Ph.D. (UK), postdoctoral research and my research career consists of over 37 years in Europe. I did doctor of habilitation in Germany.
In my opinion, Dr. Salam is a noble Laurette, there is no question. He has presented a theory that leads to awards of noble price. My field of research is quite different from Dr. Salam's and I cannot share his opinion.
Using Dr. Salam's name, I did not find any research paper in his name in PubMed. This is very common for Pakistani PhDs without any publication in international journals. Perhaps he did his PhD and research in the early seventies and his research paper is not available in PubMed but also not found in Google.

Qaisar's entire thesis rests on the word of two Jews (Glashow and Dombey). Qaiser preferred the word of Jews who say Muhammad (SAW) was a liar over a Qadiyani who says Muhammad (SAW) is not the last prophet, without providing any concrete evidence. In the scientific world, plagiarism is seen as a major offense. If Salam's work were in fact plagiarized, the committee would have revoked the prize and retracted the publication. Glashow was irked because both Weinberg and Salam did not include him in the original name of the theory. Salam was the first one to prove the theory mathematically, but since Qaisar sahab said so, we should accept that the person who proved a theory mathematically plagiarized the work of someone who wasn't able to do so. Glashow's cornerstone Electroweak unification 1961 paper does not know, or care about the 1964 Higgs work. It is mostly on requiring neutral currents for consistency. Salam and Weinberg tack the Higgs mechanism onto it.

Just to add one mesmerising fact here. Before his electroweak theory, Salam had done an exceptional work on “parity violation” and he sent the same work to Pauli, who was then considered to be the best physicist of that time. Pauli didnt agree with his work and consequently Salam didnt publish his work. After few years some scientists from china did the same work and they went on to receive Nobel. Just because some one is Ahmadi does not mean we should belittle his achievements. Grow up Pakistanis and learn to respect your scientists irrespective of their faith.

I was reading a dawn news article in which, ironically, Pervez Houdboy was emphasizing Pro salam stand and honoring him as the real Saviour of Science in Pakistan. I was literally astounded, is he really physicist or educationalist, which, he claims for himself and can't verify the facts. Just bogus reality. I was an avid follower and supporter of Qaser Ahmed Raja until today, he has lost all credibility now. Beshak, " Allah jhootay aur nashukre logo ko rah nahi dikhata ". (Surah Alzamar: 03).
Please elaborate. Is there a flaw in his evidence? I at least need to see a rebuttal of his video to come to a conclusion.
@@lockhandle8276 I'm glad ypu asked sir. Being a Mechanical Engineer, and a researcher, I am writing some major points that could indicate major flaws in Qaiser Raja's analysis.
1) There are many scientists, researchers that use previous/available data of other researchers to make a new conclusion/discovery. An example is the evolution of periodic table, how many scientists tried to race into shaping the elements into a set. Mendeleev's periodic table resulted in the modern periodic table and he is not much regarded.
2) Almost all scientists are challenged by others, even Albert Einstein has been proved wrong on more than 5 theories. There are books, research papers written to prove him wrong too. It's common to write a counter paper to disregard/challenge/disprove another researchers work. Using the same example as above for the ease of understanding, The periodic table's evolution displays how each scientist also came up with a new table mentioning clearly why the new table was better. Another example is atomic theories, Bohr Atomic model, Goldstein cathode ray tube etc, were studied, experimented and with just a slight loop hole in the original work, scientists bring someething new, naming it as their own.
It's what keep scientists, researchers keep working; the competition and the gain of grants, prizes etc.
3) You don't conclude a result based of two books, (as he discussed only two). He shouldd have included atleast 7-8 reference papers/books to reach a conclusion that Abdul Salam was fake.
4) Formal gatherings are very necessary to network. If you want to meet top professors in Pakistan, how would you do it?
Lastly, Lectures are not recorded even now in many universities.
Back then, tell me how could 1 lecture be recorded? Remember the timeline when this happened. How many students were reached if Qaiser sahab concluded that the lecture didd not take place? Yeah don't tell me that one book said none came forward. I can write a book, you can write a book, Raymond davis can, Reham khan can, disproving a claim, a scientific claim requires scientific data.
It's like by qaiser sahab, we should accept pakistan studies book, because we can use it as a reference?
His stance on Nobel prize is very unclear and comes from malala's case, Although i do agree that his roots from Pakistan might have played a part as the whites were astonished that a pakistani scientist came this far and he might have been given a priority, but that doesn't mean any hoo haa can be given a nobel prize. Any blind follower of The Great Scientist Asad Qaiser Raja Sahab knows that Abdu Salam was just an average guy he founded the ICTP a leading Theoretical Insititute of Physics in Italy. Why we are so blinded by hatred that a person with 0.1% of Dr Abdus Salam's caliber slams him openly and 90% of the Public actually cherishes him.
I googled this Qaisar Raja guy. I couldn't find his credentials. He is only a social media influencer... is that enough qualification to critically appraise Dr A Salam's work???????

1): Why would you choose a topic like this? What could be gained from it.
I would understand if a content creator whose ONLY source of income was you tube would create this video but your MasAllah a social worker you raise awareness of issues like the Kashmir and Palestine occupation and the wicked laws passed by our governments. Why would you make this video.
