Yep, KTM does NOT include any kind of instructions or information. Can't even look them up. Still can't find a place to plug the fan into either. I assume my kit is not complete.
Great video! Very helpful. I had the same questions on my bike (same as yours). KTM has not updated their instructions for 2020. Just installed mine last night and everything seems like it's good to go. I rode in tight circles around the back yard today and let it idol for a bit to see if it would kick on. It did NOT. I want to make sure it works. So I guess either, I didn't install it properly or it wasn't hot enough to kick on. When will your fan kick on? How hot does it have to be? Thanks again!
I installed this fan on my 2019 tpi, but it won’t come on until the bike is way too hot! Did you figure out a way to make it come on sooner or find a coolant temp switch that has a lower activation? I couldn’t find one anywhere!
Unfortunately the 2019 is a bit different. I had a '19 but never put a fan on it. The 19 TPIs ran much hotter overall than the 20 and 21s, which is what made me get a fan in '20 but the sensor is set at a reasonable temp on the newer ones, so I haven't had an issue that caused me to work towards changing the temp it kicks on at.

will the fan shut off when the bike shuts off or does the fan run for a certain amount of time then turn off?

Yes got the fan kit from trail teak but no relay was with kit? who can you get that relay from?
