The very 1st episode of the first season. His main story was General Elections in India. Do check out that as well, it's not on his YT channel, but there are many unofficial uploads by many youtubers.
***** Even if he was actually ugly at least he doesn't have self esteem so low that he spends his time trying to ridicule people's physical appearance over the internet. Strong people lift others up, while weak people try to drag people down with them. Your comment says a lot about your personality.
Mr. Zakaria needs his own HBO show. CNN is limited to the type of reporting he can do. He's so interesting to read and listen to. I hope this is a way of measuring his demand. If this measure does not fair well, I hope HBO thinks better to give him a shot. He will do exceptionally well for years surely. Good luck Fareed!
"Aspirational middle class" is the same bullshit line the Tories use to excuse taking the food out of the mouths of the poor. The idea that anyone who suffers just didn't try hard enough is ridiculous.

I love that they extend the interviews online. Best idea in showbiz for the past few years, cause all the other short interviews talk about the same crap.
In India everyone talks about 2002 riots in which 750+ Muslims and 250+ Hindus were killed. The riots started because Muslims set a train carrying Hindu pilgrims on fire. About 60 people were killed incl women, children, and infants. No one talks about it. Still, the administration was new as Modi had come Chief Minister less than a week before the riots. He asked for help from neighboring states, but the Congress party ruled states declined to help. But within a day the army was called, that flag marched, and started to control the riots. By the end of 3 days, it was controlled. Over 300 rioters were killed. More than 500 people have been convicted- the only riot in India where there have been convictions. But those who are anti-India and anti-Hindus continue to perpetuate vile nonsense. It only alienates more Muslims and keeps them in the mind of victims and poor vote banks.
Just count how many times Fareed Zakaria mentions that India is a poor country. He never did that when his fathers party (Congress) was in power. Worst of all he credits the British for the electoral process and democracy in India. FYI...Fareed's Father was Congress parties, Member of parliament.
This is such a nice series of constructive debate over the Indian elections. Amazing! Several factual errors on the part of both the commentators. But a nice approach towards taking an economy in the "third" world seriously.
That's very much how I think of it as well. It's a society in the midst of amazing transformation. And the availability of mass media probably gives us a glimpse of that time in the western world.
These are frightening times, a lot like the middle ages in India right now. If you just pause and see what's going on in the country, you will not even be able to joke about it.
Also, middle ages has a negative connotation for Europeans because that's where it took place. In India, at least the Muslims see it as a "glorious past" and Indians in general just see it as part of their history. Also bare in mind that this was the time a lot of the historical monuments like Taj Mahal, Red Fort n others were built and it was actually a time of wealth in India. Like it is now. You just seem brainwashed by the corporate media.
+Diya Khanna yeah. India had it's biggest scams, multiple scams since independence during Sonia Gandhi's time in power. Not until then or since then have scams of that size taken place in India. As the economy is hurtling ahead India needed to plug the massive leaks. For perspective, India made it's first trillion in 60 years. It's second trillion in 7 years n it's next two trillion in the next 7. That is very very rapid economic growth and Pranab Mukherjee actually joked about the size of scams growing as the economy is growing. That is not ok. Modi has changed that and has invested heavily in infrastructure- roads, electricity, digital banking. People who think things are bad look outside your windows, walk down the street or go to a mall n just look around.
Here’s a recent report in Deccan Herald to put this interview in context. 1. The Queen has no real political power. 2. You missed the point completely. He's not saying "Does family dynasties in politics have to be a reality?", but "Do you have to use that metaphor, when the imagery is so creepy?"
MrForsyth91 They will be a reality for as long as brilliant children are reduced by the violence, shame and lies of infantilised mothers (mindless objects who've lost their sole utility). Reduced humans vote in dynasties because thinking hurts their tiny minds.
