LA Flights was proud to cover the return of Lufthansa's A380 'behemoth of the skies" LH452 services from MUC to LAX will operated by the Airbus 380! Arrival time was around 3pm PDT. LH453 services LAX to MUC departed around 5pm PDT. The friendliest avgeek family had a great afternoon full of fun and aviation.

So sad- the second A380 D-AIMM to LAX today is about 2 hours delayed-
I wonder how many passengers were onboard? Most airlines have trouble filling the seats on those things to make them profitable and I understand the 747 is more economical for cargo.

I wrote this at the longer video. If you happen to fly Lufthansa A380 economy try to get an upper deck seat close to the galley but far enough from the lavatories. After meal service the galley is kind of an open bar and hope the flight attendant "guarding" the galley is crappy at his/her job. In such case you can have as much booze as you can. You may get laughed at by the immigrations office at Frankfurt if you are neither capable of walking a straight line nor stand still while waiting in line to get your passport stamped.

The A380 and 747-8 are husband and wife. The age gap is insane though.
