      I have both, but intelligence allowed me to earn a PhD in mathematical physics and enjoy a fascinating and financially rewarding career. I recently retired while still in my early 60s. The entire ordeal was heartbreaking. We are all human and make mistakes, but this sweet little family encountered unpredictable weather conditions that may change abruptly. This broke my ❤.

    I got heat stroke once decades ago. It wasn't a particularly hot day, but it was still and humid. I'm not a sun person, and we were in and out of buildings, exploring a new city.
    It was unbelievable how quickly it came on and how sick I was. Luckily, my spouse was there to help me, because I couldn't have made a decision on my own. We got back in the car, my spouse got me some room temp water, and I laid down in the back seat to get back to our accommodations. We rolled the windows down in the car, as we didn't have AC. And when we got back, my partner helped me take a cool shower.
    These situations can creep up on you. One minute you're feeling normal, and the next you're feeling very ill and disabled. I believe they did die of hyperthermia. It's incredibly sad, a lovely young family gone for such a miscalculation.

    Great cover of this story Julio. Nice introduction to the people involved and even a photo of the dog! ♥ From the beginning of their journey I knew they hadn't taken enough water - two and a half liters is barely enough for the dog .. water is heavy to carry. They "should" have taken a small pack with some food, water purifying equipment, first aid kit, etc. They were really only prepared for a short stroll. Risky behaviour is fine if you know and understand the risks, but they didn't.

      And taking a baby, too! It just sounds so irresponsible. Especially knowing you're going to be hiking through an area with no shade. I'm really stuck on the baby part of this. Like, why not just leave the baby with the nanny and do the long hike? Ugh. I hate all sides of this. What a tragedy.

    Why such a mystery about the dog??? He was small if the adults died from heat of course the dog did to. Still seems very strange.

    • @nightmarehound
      @nightmarehound 2 месяца назад +1

      Because there is no legal definite proof that can be shown, which is why in the conference they said they believe he died from heat related issues. So it's not a mystery since its a logical conclusion, they just can't give the evidence if someone asks them to prove it (versus say, snakebite or seizure or something).

    • @AussieBrit

    I don’t know if they died of dehydration or what but I do believe that there should be some type of warnings for future hikers!!! Like a large sign indicating what a person would need to hike this area!!! And whatever is posted through google should also have warnings about what is needed for hiking these places!!! I can’t imagine someone as intelligent as these 2 people taking their small child and pet on this excursion without some knowledge of the hike!!! I don’t think that there was any warnings about this hike!!! Sad!!!

    The degrees as you gave them aren't regular temps . I guess you were going by Celsius because 40° Fahrenheit is not hot or even warm actually unless you're being active during the 40° F. It would be a great temp if you're moving around a lot with adequate clothing, and that wouldn't have to be a lot. I like it when someone gives both temperature readings because some go by Fahrenheit and some go by Celsius. Someone is always trying to get a conspiracy theory going. Im sure they died from what the M.E.found in the examination of the bodys. It looks like something would have been available to warn people of the possibility of something like this being possible. If either had done any research on where they were going, they could've been prepared. I dont think they would just ignore a warning like that with a baby. And taking a baby on a trip like that is crazy. After a while, even a bundle like a baby can get heavy, and carrying her close to his chest would only make the heat worse for the baby and dad. But its crazy how this caught up with them so soon. I'd like to know the fahrenheit temperature for how hot it was. I looked up the conversion from 40°C to 40°F and at 40° F it would have been 104° F now that's hot and I can't believe someone would question the cause of death when anyone knows 104°F would be freakin miserable.

      All the countries in the world with the exception of the United States, Myanmar and Liberia use the Celsius temperature scale. There are 195 countries in the world and 3 use Fahrenheit.
      I'd say Celsius is the most common (or regular, as you say) to use in a RUclips video available to said world. Other countries hear Fahrenheit all the time and have an idea of the conversions. I find it facinating that some countries think the whole world should cater to them instead of learning about all the wonderful differences and cultures. World's a pretty big place and so interesting to learn about.
