It's a bubble mute made by JoRal, obviously, but it's practically a Harmon.

Harmon is actually a brand, people just adopted the name for that cause that brand was most popular in making them so it just became the Harmon mute.

I was listening to the main theme from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly by Ennio marricone this morning and now I know where the waa waa waa sound came from.

Thanks for the vid! I mean, I'm not gonna buy one (I would probably need a horn and the ability to play one first) but I was wondering what those things were, and was looking for a quick demonstration.

I like to know how you define the different mutes in the score. do you write "straight mute" and + o on the notes?

What was the model of that bubble mute? I am looking at one marked CSTPT2C but I'm trying to find an example of its sound.

What mute was used for the lick in the intro, if it even was a muted trumpet?

Is a harmon style mute silent enough to practice with it?

Is the 'practice mute' by Jo Ral any good?

I bought a Wallace mute but it goes a half or whole tone up. Do these mutes do that?
Isn't a mute supposed to create the same tone only muted? No compromise in sound tonation.

Audun Jemtland mutes will always make you sharper, and if you're on French horn it will be a half step higher than usual

After hearing this and left wondering how the others sound, I am going to punish my trumpet by throwing it under the wheels of the city bus as it drives by!
