She obviously has had a lot of pain in her life, and the way she portrays her experience and emotion through her songs is phenomenal. There are so many artists way more popular than her that don't know how to do that, and aren't half as talented as she is. Phildel is a truly amazing artist and she deserves to be more known.

I love "Beside You" - it's like a moment captured in an enchanting snow-globe. As a song, yes - I feel it's very special. But the arrangement is a group of instruments often heard together - piano and strings - so I don't feel it's as innovative (though it serves the song perfectly). With "The Disappearance of the Girl" - there's marimba, vibraphone, strings, choir and bass...so in terms of innovation - "The Disappearance of the Girl" wins for me. But in my view, they all have their strengths xx
I think I finally nailed down what I'm loving with her/their music. The music itself is comparable in amazingness to her voice. It can stand on it's own as ethereal and with that otherworldly sound. Whoever is putting it all together is on point on complimenting her voice, creating this whole package of sound and feeling not found in most modern American music. Well done folk(s), well done.
GOOSEBUMPS. This is one of my favourite Phildel arrangements, there's just nothing else that sounds anything like it! It's somehow minimal and rich at the same time. And the video suits it fantastically, chilling, and very cool.x

Consequently their work ends up lacking substance/meaning. I'd never been so emotionally affected by music until I found your songs.
