Gladly the techtree already has been updated and will get a major overhaul. In my eyes its the most problematic feature as it limits you to certain choices while you need freedom to provide depth. At least currently its viable to go either direction, meaning you can sell wood, sand, glass or any crop. Depending on the cities. With the overhaul as far as i understood it, you can freely choose what to build but you are limited on the recipes you can use. Which seems like a much better way to do it. So when i want to start directly pumping oil to sell it, i can do that, but i have to invest research to be able to do more with it. Also, i think its not that hard to gain money. In the current version i focussed on getting as fast to livestock as possible. This nearly had me going bankrupt (normal mode) as food (which i focussed on, 0 industry and no gathering except water) isnt worth a lot. But i kept managing and expanding and got back in the green again, then expanded so drastically that i ended up having now about 18 million dollar back. The game can be harsh at first but then benefits long term goals. But that was my second attempt, so i consider that to be not as hard as i would expect.
The storage in Truck Depots have changed. The max storage is now for each resource instead of total. For instance in the one you can have 70 steak, 70 fish, and 70 apples. All at once before getting the error messages. And then that's where the destination properties come into play. Also the tech tree has been completely changed. The R&D points have gone out the window and replaced with a "monthly research budget" that is paying for the research slowly. The tree has also been redesigned so that you can't lick yourself, if you tried to Unlock the textiles for instance it will try to research the required thing to make textiles first so that you don't have the problem you did when starting. I wish you would do another updated tutorial Addressing some of the changes.
Thank you for this, but I guess I have to play first. My head was spinning because I can't really understand what was happening. For example, I don't understand/know "WHY" you were doing all those stuff in the first place. I'll get back to this video once I've understood the basics.
Very out of date compared to the release edition.
Agreed!!

You just did the best video on internet about ratios...Congrats!
Most helpful guide i as a new player found on web
Seems like the game changed quite a lot in these 5 years...
Hell yeah! Super useful!
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for making the game. I look forward to seeing it grow :)
Devs are you gonna make those calculations a little simpler?

thx
Oh shit. you can do THAT with depots?
Don't bother reading a guide for a game that is made for an early access game lol . They change to much for it to be worth it.
I don't know why you're telling me all the things you did wrong. Just tell me what I should do.
This is a video completely out of date
I just got this game omfg. All I get is damn pathing problems from everything. Sometimes I restart and get far then run into same bs.
