tip 11 if you put 3 points in the 4 elemental paths with your pretender you will get 3 bless points in each of the 4 elements; this can be done with the 4 "sorcery" magic types as well
I've put 20 hours into this game and didn't know about half of this stuff because I'm a big galoot and didn't read the manual, so thanks for this video!
I have some more for a version 2 of this. When units route from a battle, they may end up in the province you are in, or a neighboring friendly province. If a commander dies, many/all of his units route. You need to create army in those provinces to pick them up again. I even had a commander route even though we won the battle. Pay attention to supply for your army. Provinces can have hundreds of supply for your army, or less than a hundred, and starving/disease kills off your army over time. Pay attention to provinces that have water units if you are a land only civilization, you can create a water army there to take over lake provinces. If you have an army (not a garrison) in a fortified (leve 2 or better (Fort / Castle)) province, the army does not fight by default, instead staying in the fortification, and, then becomes under siege. You need to instruct your garrisoned army to move out and attack the siege, or else, eventually, they will starve. As far as I can tell, province defenses don't cost recurring support (gold), but a one time fee up front. So having a 25 defense force in a province is 'expensive' up front, but no cost later, unless destroyed. Having a secondary travelling army of varied strength magic endowed units and priests (e.g. air, earth, fire, etc.) with body guards traveling around searching for magic sites in conquered provinces and setting up temples can greatly increase your gem income and dominion strength while still allowing your main force to continue conquering provinces. Add an engineer to that traveling group to set up fortifications/forts/castles where you want them, again to keep your other forces doing what you want them to do.
tip number 6 is good, but there is a exception to that rule, rainbow blesses, since if you have either all elemental paths or all sorcery paths you only need to have them at level 3 to make you receive bless points.

very useful for when your pretender god is a so-called 'rainbow mage'
This should be on the official page right next to DasTactic's videos. Very concise and I picked up some things I was not aware of!

I haven't even thought about Dominions for ages and now this drops? Heck Yes!

I did my first game without knowing most of these, definitely helps a lot

5:40 - those edits to preferences are amazing thanks for highlighting, why would they have multi turn movement off!?
Becausenthey weren't possible in dominions 4, so to not confusemplayers from older games.
It's out?! Damn. Lessgo.
Many thanks!
what music is in the background?
Just the dominions 5 music unless you’re taking about a specific part
The music is a bit loud.
The music is really distracting.
I counted, that wasn't 5-10 tips. Also who plays Dominions 1 anymore
