Hello Everyone. This is by far the most vulnerable video I have ever made. Its something extremely different than my usual content, but I hope that you still enjoy it regardless. I fully expect this video to flop, but as long as this video impacts one person than it would have served its purpose ❤ and for real this time, I PROMISE not to take another month to post again 😂 Btw I turned down 3 different sponsorships for this video so please follow me on twitter/X @ZellyJP Thank you for 10K subs as well See you soon, 💢Zelly
BroOOO MY 21ST BIRTHDAY WAS FUCKED BY THE QUARANTINE TOO!!! Then my mother almost passed away, I ended up homeless for two years, and I suddenly realized I had multiple disabilities I had my whole life but didnt know until the quarantine fucked up my life and forced me to sleep behind a tv for two years while trying to work night shifts at a mcdonalds and look after my mother. When the world goes into a tail spin like that the way you feel.. feels insane. I was forced to realize essentially that I had forced myself into the rat into to survive and that I couldn't survive like that much longer. That my body physically couldn't take it. So I made the choice to accept myself head-on, disabilities, trauma, gender, sexuality and race all these things that I had been trying to avoid understanding and exploring, and do what I could to actually *live* instead of just surviving. This movie has been one of my go-to movies throughout this time since my own early twenties as a way to help me learn to embrace being alive.
i love this take on the one and only, fantastic mr. fox. as whimsical and humorous as it is, people tend to forget the underlying lesson of the film, which is, as you said it best, fulfillment in life. sometimes we get stuck underground. sometimes we have to do what we can to make ends meet. and sometimes, along the way (especially in your 20s and in this economy), we lose a little bit of ourselves. this video resonated with me as a fellow 24 year old who was in college and working at the time of the pandemic. one college degree later and i've realized i'm not meant to work a corporate job. surely there's more to life than that, right? i guess we'll just have to navigate our way out of the traditional "9-5 job, marriage, kids, and retirement at 65" route. seeing this video now definitely adds an extra sentiment on how i view this movie and how impactful it is for someone in their 20s. thank you for sharing your story, and i hope you get that treehouse on a hill some day!
I am currently 14 (still a kid). I watched and grew up with Fantastic Mr. Fox. When I was younger, not really understanding the film very well, I would just laugh at the jokes just because everyone else was, even though I didn't comprehend any of them. Yet each time I rewatch this movie, I love it more. It's more than wholesome. It's formative. This movie is good, true, and beautiful. I know this word is over used when describing a good movie, but this really is a masterpiece. Now I truly do understand this piece of cinema. This movie is cunning, and witty. So beautiful.
Its a movie that as you continue to grow older you will only appreciate more and more. Its one of those films that affect you in a completely different way at different times in your life.
I love this movie, but i never thought that a film like it, or really, any film at all could connect with someone so genuinely. I really enjoyed hearing your experience here, and it really does tell me that art can be interpreted in different ways with experience. What others take out on it based on their own journey in life. Its really awesome. And im more than happy you shared it
My sister bought me this on dvd one xmas & i thought...what the heck? How wrong i was with that initial thought. It’s become one of my top 20 films of all time. A truly amazing film & wonderfully brought to life by the animators, voice actors, wes & art design team. As such i can totally relate to your connection with this film zelly. Thanks for the vid, great job dude.
Thank you ❤ I am a huge wes anderson fan, and this (alongside grand budapest hotel) are his magnum opus in my opinion. Such a recommendable film that, much like your experience, is truly a gift to give someone else. I have yet to meet someone who outright doesnt like this movie
I’m so shocked that you currently have only 12k subscribers. Your videos are great quality and I’m going to binge watch the 5 or so videos you have so far.
Fantastic video! The film was inspirational for me as well, I watched it just around your age! Also, I hope RUclips's algorithms won't discourage you from making more personal videos like this one, and not only popular 'click-baity' ones. But anyway, I'm enjoying all you work!
Thank you so much! And dont worry it wont. In a perfect world every video would perform amazingly, but we live in a world of "content and media" which isnt inherently a bad thing. However it does mean that for more personal subject pieces like this often struggle to find their footing. But this is a project ive been wanting to bring to life for some time now, and I am very happy with how it turned out! Thank you so much for your comment as well ♥
