Yeah thats why I stated "relatively" as in during the beginning of the story outside of saving mikasa he lives an ordinary life. The mikasa incident was honestly a one time event its not like he did stuff like that all the time, but i see what youre saying for sure
In a way, Light's father Soichiro kind of defeated Kira. He couldn't bring himself to kill Mello, and his death only made Near more suspicious of Light. Mello's gambit is what set up the events to Light's defeat. So by sticking to his sense of justice and not killing Mello, Soichiro indirectly defeated Kira.
Eren lives. The Founding Titan has access to all powers of each Titan Shifter, so Eren transferred his consciousness (an ability of the Armored Titan) before getting his head cut off, and then regenerated a new head (as Reiner had done) almost instantly (Eren did something like this with his leg when speaking with Reiner). The Rumbling was as successful as he needed it to be, everyone thinks he's dead, and he's free to explore the world without anything or anyone interfering.

With Eren, I think it's less about revenge (though it's partially that because we see Eren having a flashback to the moment his mother was eater by Dina as he is about to rumble Marley) at the end of the story since he has come to somewhat of an understanding about his foes and more about the desire to erase people from the world just because it's in his nature to solve things by killing and he was unable to break free of that.
Light was never one to truly rely on others, only use them for his own ends. There's not a world in which I see him changing for the better with that aspect of him undealt with. Eren however, he formed a family with the Scouts, more specifically Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Connie, Sasha, Jean, Historia, and Hange. Eren was not alone, while Light was. Yet Eren took matters into his own hands just like Light, and dragged those who trusted him into conflict, just like Light. In a way, I don't even blame Eren as much as I blame Armin and Mikasa for failing to notice the change in Eren. Armin especially because, dammit he's the mastermind! He's the one Eren should have came to with his visions for them to find a better solution. Both Light and Eren make me mad but for different reasons: I hate Light's guts and I find him relatable, while I expected more from Eren because up to season 3, dude filled me with hope for humanity.
I disagree that Eren's desire for the rumbling is justice/revenge. It was for his dream of freedom and his friends. "When I learned that humanity had survived beyond the walls I was so so disappointed. So I made a wish. I wished for it all to be wiped away. I wanted this.. I wanted... to wipe everything away... I'm sorry." - Eren Yeager He’s lived his entire life in subjugation, and finally when he has thought he has achieved freedom, he finds out there’s not only humanity, but no peace. When Eren tells Ramzi he was disappointed, it’s not only because it didn’t map on with his dream in Armin’s book but also because of the strife and conflict he saw beyond the walls as well.
Light lost thanks to plot, there was no way they copied the death note perfectly in one night considering how many names. Light has a god complex which made him evil while Eren was just an idiot. Initially he had justifiable motivations but after his 180 it just made the entire rumbling pointless making one winder why didn't he just run away then... Oh right he is an idiot who just wants to kill apparently and the nuance showcased during the declaration of war was a lie. Eren's character was changed in the ending, i still can't believe that people still think Eren by Season 3 wanted an empty world... An empty world to do what? Look at rubble and sand must be nice. He doesn't have the justification to want to wipe out every man, woman and child for an Abstract for of Freedom and he never believed being a Martyr would work since day 1 as he said to Dot Pixis. He also had to die because Ymir wanted it so it wasnt even a choice for either Mikasa or Eren. Death Note at least keeps the characters mostly consistent and gives them their agency unlike AOT's dumbster fire ending. Eren's cautionary tale is basically just don't be a garden variety Idiot with no real goals or clear one. Since real life has no "Destiny" this should be easy if you really want.

As the Attack Titan he can beat a small army all on his own, the only thing holding him back is the people of Eldia. Just because Eren can't do in the outside word everything he wants doesn't mean he can't live freely on his own like that cabin scene. His sense of freedom should have grown to the people of Eldia and not remain on himself that is static and means he is about as naive as a small child if not more if he thinks killing people by 80% solves anything or wiping them all out because "violence is all I know" is deep writing. @@Lord_Vanns I have extremely high standards for stories, that's why Aot is my favourite since it's the most complex and well written story I've encountered. The fact that you can't even conceptualize the Eren/Carla twist says volumes lmao. I can show you what a writing comparison between Light and Eren would look like if you want.
@@osmorca618 Don't waste your time I won't read it.. If you are so competent in understanding 'Good' writing and you think AOT, which was never a love story, changed into a love story at the end and character assassinated Eren is good writing, then you're opinion doesn't matter to me brotha. No disrespect. Go rewatch the series bruh. Isayama fucked AOT at the end and that's an objective fact, not my opinion.
@@osmorca618completely destroys and makes a mockery out of Eren’s love to his mom, destroys his agency, Eren’s view of freedom in 139 is completely skewed compared to every other time he said it, etc. etc.
U are god dam right
here is my sub dam
Let me equalize your audio
Thanks for the spoiler notices upfront. It will sadly meant I don't watch your video (sorry) but I wanted you to know that I appreciated the gesture.👍
Eren jeager did not fail he got everything he worked 4
Read AOT no Requiem and the alternate fan ending of Death Note.
Ill have to check it out! Are they any good?
For the AoT, actually no way lol. And one of their authors was already insulting Isayama said that their idea was better than him the actual author of the work, and so that's the red flag
@naufalalbari Isayama is the Todd Howard of mangakas, hope that failed internet cafe owner never makes a shitty manga ever again.
@@ZellyJP well there you go admin, there comes one of your red flags appeared on its own, ez no
Just my opinion so no one gets butt hurt but… AOT is hot trash & my anime essay playlist completely shits on it. No would be defender could do so after seeing this.
I looked through your playlist lol. Lost Futures thinks Aot is fascist which already discredits any take he has, Signified B Sides is a media illiterate breadtuber, Saintitchief is a renowned idiot, and I personally debated Spryzen on Aot and destroyed him. So not a very strong selection of content creators lmao. As someone who doesn't get their opinions from RUclipsrs, but instead from their own analysis, I can defend Aot's writing all day. Aot is easily the best written animanga that I've come across, it's genuinely peak fiction.
@@osmorca618just why do you care about him dude,he has "aot is facist" "eren got lelouched"etc etc in like that pretty much describes how he views and analyse the series and its characters 😮💨
Rage bait is so obvious
@@darksiders2468for views obviously
@@osmorca618 Love the opinion but Ew another weirdo with this tired, sorry ass argument to try & discredit me. U need to grow up & get some experience lil bro it’s called society, discourse, interaction u ever heard of it? People kinda communicate with each other to either reinforce or change their opinions, I’ve always hated AOT. I just found people that agree & explain better than my monkey self ever could on why it’s bad. & ofc all the 1’s disagreeing with u & shitting on ur fav title have to be some form of idiot, typical anime fan.💀 just a lazy way to discredit them, speaking of lazy ofc u didn’t actually watch the vids. Uk ur side is sad when even the damn author himself admitted to his own series being bad in 4k. & don’t try & get arguments outta me, this playlist exists for a reason. I don’t got the time or energy to waste like that in fact this comment is more than enough taxation from me. Go argue with the top dogs that valitdates my opinion in the 1st place like they did so many others. If they take their vids down or release a debunk vid then I might consider changing my opinion. But peak animanga???💀😭 obviously my ignorant friend has never read a visual/light novel before like umineko. & don’t try & say you’ve watched their adaptations cause anime & their short ass runtime & bad directors never do a novel justice.
