Good video! I agree with your assessment of this text!
If you already mentioned this and I missed it I apologize but Psalm 25:14 is a great cross reference to the point you’re making.
“The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭14‬ ‭

The problem with not understanding the entire bible in context is that scriptures are taken OUT of context.
Do some research on WHY a NEW covenant was needed .
      Read Hebrews 8 and the writer tells us;
God found fault with THE PEOPLE.
They did not remain faithful OR they TURNED AWAY from me so I TURNED away from them.
What Arminians/proponents of free will don't understand is that *TURNING AWAY from God is ALL THAT FREE WILL CAN DO*
Free will is not the solution ITS THE PROBLEM!
Adam had ACTUAL free will because sin had not entered in yet.
What did Adam do with his 'Free Will?"
      Answer:
      *HE DISOBEYED GOD*
      *HE TURNED AWAY*
Israel and ISRAEL ALONE was given God's laws and statutes (Psalm 147:19-20)
      And the OLD Covenant was
*If a man DOES these things he will live by them*
What did Israel do with their "Free Will."
      Answer:
      *THEY TURNED AWAY FROM GOD*
Which is why *Unless THE LORD had left a remnant, they would have been like Sodom...* (Isaiah 1;9, Romans 9:29)
NOBODY obeyed God in the OC!
So what did GOD DO to solve the problems of
      1. Man turning away
      2. God turning away?
      Jeremiah 32:40
*I WILL MAKE* an everlasting covenant with them:
*I WILL NEVER STOP DOING GOOD* to them (Problem 2 SOLVED)
      and
*I WILL INSPIRE THEM TO FEAR ME*

Yes they believed the word Paul brought. Here is another thought on the same verse which I think compliments. cts 13:48
"And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed."
(they had already been prepared by Paul…set in order… to receive the gospel to salvation, and came for that purpose as he had previously announced… Read the chapter to get the context. It does not say “God” was the ‘actor’ of the verb ‘ordained’. Calvinists read onto that verse their presuppostional paradigm but the context doesn’t support their conclusion.) Reading all of Chap.13 for context helps. The Calvinist is triggered by a single word and assumes it to 'fit' their doctrine but usually ignores the full context. I'm certainly no Greek scholar but I've read and learned some things that I think fit nicely here.
    Greek/ordained ; Tasso
Response provisional perspective; a few instances of ‘ordain’ Tasso/greek
    Titus 1:5
"For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain(tasso) elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:"
    Acts 13;4-48
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
(Paul had already arranged/ordained/ordered/set up/prepared/established them to eternal life by his preaching … and, this time, they ALL believed and were ready to be saved.
    Acts 18:6
    (By contrast….)
And when they opposed (same as Greek/Tasso, but ‘anti-Tasso’ ,opposite of ‘ordained’ ), themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
..( They judged themselves unworthy, not a candidate, to be saved)
    1. Greek; Verb. τᾰ́σσω • (tássō) (transitive) to arrange, put in order. (transitive, military) to arrange soldiers, array, marshal. (passive) to fall in, form up.
In English; we get the word ‘order’…ordain, to prepare for something.
To properly define ‘ordain’ & ‘ordained’ ... It's important to first determine 'Who' exercised the action of the ‘verb’. … It was Paul and his preaching of the Gospel.
It does NOT say God did anything. Inserting God in that context can be reading onto the verse by assumption.

@@gracemercywrath8767 Enoch went 'missing'🤠🤠 righteous has always been obtained by Faith. I think about a simple thing: For a man to please God he must believe two things... A; That he IS. and, B; That he is a 'rewarder' of those who diligently seek him.
Now, let's not get hung up on 'diligence' because that's usually where the finger wagging and 'works' mentality kicks in. It's obvious that what may be diligent for me may not be the same for you, etc. and it is God alone is the judge.
The important thing is what we believe about God. Simply put, He IS Good..... It's not Rocket science, it's not complicated. God wants people to believe He IS Good, and it pleases Him when they do. God is NOT like that other guy ...( whose mother was no virgin.😎)
Followed to it's logical end, it is unavoidable that Calvinists are forced to defend the nature of God from the claims of their own doctrine. They truly desire to worship God but describe him to be more like the enemy of their own soul. Never able to know if they really have been given the "Gift of Perseverance" ... they simply hope for the best, having been convinced there is nothing else they can do.

So R.L., How do you understand ordained to eternal life, If you answer, Paul prepare them for eternal life, you are definitely wrong and do not understand the scriptures.. No man can prepare you for eternal life, you cannot give a verse for that, It is God's business, every one is either predestined to eternal life or predestined to be burned in fire. Jesus Himsel revealed that in the parable of Wheat and Tares...

@@reynaldodavid2913Jo Do you still believe Cain was not the son of Adam and Eve?🤔 We went around and around about that 2yrs ago.
As for the tares, is it Satan who sowed them not God... If it referred to them being predestined to destruction it would have to be God who created them and God who 'sowed' them from the beginning, it isn't.
To compare the concept Jesus is communicating consistently, the parable of the Sower also applies. In Luke 8 "12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved."
If they were "born" or predestined unable to believe there is no need for Satan to steal the word before they believe... because they can't believe... BUT, obviously they can believe.
That's the reason Jesus used parables at that moment in his ministry... he was not announcing to the world at large who he was yet. But, that was a temporary situation to insure his crucifixion. Paul says if they'd known who he was they would not have killed him and the plan of salvation could not have happened. Now.. after his resurrection, Jesus calls 'all' unto himself just like he promised. Any one can come...

To get to your interpretation of 13:48, I would have to reverse the word order.
My understanding of what you're saying would have it read, "and all who had believed were appointed to eternal life." This word order would make it clear the appointment to eternal life comes after believing.
But that's not what's happening here.
The word order we have is, "and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed." In this construction, the appointment to eternal life comes first; the believing comes afterward. At some point prior to belief, these people were appointed to eternal life. And as many as were appointed, believed.
Appointment prior to belief doesn't mean that no one could ever be saved in that town ever again. It just means that, during the events recorded, as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Armenian best tactic to try and destroy The Reformed Doctrine is this; Deny Deny Deny what Scripture clearly States. What your trying to deconstruct is not Calvinism but God's Sovereignty. If you HAVE been Saved, it's only because The Father in Heaven chose to draw you to the Cross. The three Greek meanings of Draw is " Hauling fish out of the water in a Net", Drawing a Sword from it's Sheath, Dragging. How does God do this? John 6: 45 "They have been taught of God" "everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me." ( Words of Jesus).
Almost the whole World has heard the Gospel of Christ, yet not all who has heard has come to Jesus. Why? It's because God has not given everyone "Ears to hear" nor "Eyes to see."
Not every one has been "Taught of God". Read Mathew 13:16. Man cannot understand matters of the Spirit! (1st COR 2:14).
Jesus told a man who wanted to bury his father before following Jesus, "Let the Dead bury the Dead."
Yes my friends, we who are Saved were once Spiritually Dead, at enmity with God. We could not hear and learn from God by our own volition, our own choice. It was impossible according to Scripture.
So the choice to receive Salvation was never ours until God chose to "Make us alive in Christ" ( Ephesians 2: 1-7) God not only gave you ears to hear and eyes to see, he gave you a small measure of Faith as it says in Romans 12:3. So you see? JESUS is "Author and Finisher of our Faith"! (Hebrews 12:2). When you "Confessed Jesus" (is Lord) and believed "in your Heart that GOD raised Him from the Dead" and were Saved, It's only because you were chosen by God, drawn to the Cross by God, washed clean of your Sin by God, Forgiven by God and were Saved from punishment, by GOD!
So let's stop believing from a Prideful Heart that God couldn't Save us unless we give him permission by choosing to believe in The God/Man Jesus, in whom was the "The Full God Head". (Colossians 2:9-14)
Understand the Truth that you didn't choose God, it was GOD who chose YOU, and give HIM the Glory HE deserves. Give God ALL the Glory and all credit for Saving people like you and Me! The Glory of GOD is shown through The Lamb of God, JESUS CHRIST! What I've told you is Scriptural and True. You're only hurting yourself by trying to "Deconstruct" the Truth.

If have been asking the question myself many times, why hard core Calvinists stick to the heresy of Calvinism. I believe that they prefer to trust in the false doctrine of unconditional election above the acceptance of the regenerated power of His Spirit as a perfect excuse for no further obligation in the era of discipleship and moral accountability. I sincerely doubt if people like James White and John mcArthur are really saved, lacking any regenerated spiritual power (anointing) and as such falling back on the ‘security’ of unconditional election, which is a deception.
