So much elegance in both the song and the MV. I was suddenly hit by a tsunami of nostalgia, not by the events that I emotionally attached to this song but by near-forgotten events in my life where I braved uncertainties & took a gamble and it worked out well for me. I know, it doesn’t make sense but this song & MV did it for me.
Last year, I was in the hospital for two months. I nearly died in the ICU. Late at night, when I was feelibg restless and in pain, I would play music by Enya, this song is one of my favorites and I'd drift to sleep. It's a year and three surgeries later later and still recovering from all of that, but I'm able to walk and eat and the hard part is over. Thank you for the healing power of your music, go raibh maith agat. 💚
I had a similar experience to you last year as well. 3 days heavily sedated in cardiac ICU and then three weeks in a hospital in Gran Canaria, and 5 months recovering in hospital and care homes after very painful trauma surgery. I think I was nearly a goner after my seizure as well ( due to critical blood loss ). Great tune.
I'm almost in tears. I spent most of my life trying to find this song. My teacher would play this to my class during nap time😂 I knew the melody, but I had no idea what the lyrics were. God bless Enya.

Been loving her fantastic music and voice since first hearing Orinoco Flow in the 80s. She is definitely a person to hear every day and whenever you need to be lifted up! Was in the British Isles 2019 and was directed to look in the direction of her house. Couldn't see it though.

My dad used to play this when I was a child, to help me go to sleep after having nightmares. Every time I listen to her music, I feel overwhelming waves of nostalgia. Good, of course, but also sad. Her music always reminds me of the blissful peace of my childhood. So incredible how music can affect us like that. What a gift for Enya.
