      it's a cultural thing. They think thuggery is cool. Their music and friends worship crime, have no dad around (he's in jail for the same stuff), and live by a code of abject selfishness and egotism to the point that they're willing to murder someone just for **looking** at them a certain way. Then the culture responds with: "well he **did** look at him a weird way... maybe he should have minded his own business and he wouldn't have got shot." Values are so far out of whack this is the world that's being created. It's good to question authority, but it's a dogma to reject all authority as a rule. Until people start to look inward and admit it isn't cops, 'the system', or racism that's the root problem black Americans face, this will just get worse. As Americans, we looove our freedoms, but we don't want to take responsibility for our actions or their outcomes.

I used to be an Assistant Boy Scout Leader we had young Boys that would come to meetings once a week at 6:30pm JACKED up on sugar or whatever and disrupt the meetings so that at times very little to NOTHING was accomplished in the 2 hour meeting! As a Army Veteran I would PLEAD to the Leadership let me remedial PT them to wear that energy off!! I just wanted to give them 10-20 pushups as a punishment for not listening or stopping their disruptive behavior..that was a huge NO NO according to the Scout Council as that could be seen as HAZING!! It wasn't like I was going to go Drill Sargant on them just a little pain punishment to snap them back into behaving!! AND like I tried to point out to Leadership some of those Boys could use it since they ALL needed the Physical Fitness Merit Badge for the rank of Eagle Scout! They wouldn't even send the bad actors home we had one kid (the main bad egg) not even listen to his Dad at the meeting when he was acting up! I'm no longer active in Scouting mainly because of that dynamic...luckily my youngest Son got his Eagle Rank before it all went super nova!!

      @@kdo-double-g4269 exactly, that's what they're making an argument for. DAs and judges that go light on crime do so because they want lower jail headcounts to look they're doing well **on paper**. Thing is, the root causes aren't being addressed; it's just being swept under a rug. Criminals like this aren't scared of a rap sheet. They aren't scared of a little wooden gavel. They aren't scared of being held overnight. They aren't scared of not being able to go to school and complete high school. They aren't scared of bond conditions or bail money... Until DAs begin realizing that these light-on-crime policies victimize communities and don't even help the criminal change their ways, it'll just get worse. The better question is, "where are the fathers?" Some boys who grow up with a single mother reach a certain age and realize that they are now bigger and stronger than their mothers. Then they rebel, and what is mom supposed to do? By that point, the kid is lost.

    It is appalling that the court system in these cases seem clueless as to how to turn this stuff around. It is a process & it will take time when & if it is finally handled correctly, because it has been allowed to devolve into the mess that we are seeing here but there are areas in America that are making a difference by first, changing directions, make no excuses & then put one foot in front of the other day by day & develop true law enforcement. Take Polk County Florida Sheriff Grady Judd for instance, follow his leadership! This is not about accountability by juveniles until accountability by the adults in charge is achieved,

      Then send them to a rehabilitation center. Holding them for a night and then releasing them back into the same environment is clearly not the answer. Why do some seem to care more about criminals than law-abiding citizens? Sending them to jail is the only answer. That is where criminals belong. The issue is that they aren't being sent to jail, not that they are!

      if the judge denies holding them and the person goes back out and commits a crime immediately, then yes. They should be held liable for whatever damages were caused because THEY and only THEY had the choice to keep them in jail or let them go and as a result of that decision. Such and such happened or didn't happen.

    • @theprodistini2590
      @theprodistini2590 2 года назад

      BUT hindsight tells me that if we were to do that, we’d have a jazz exiting of judges or we’d have to beef up our prison systems even more because they’re already overcrowded from idiots that are there for petty crimes and committed another offense while in jail for said crime rather than overflowing with murderers, rapists etc. it’s a lot of decent people who did something stupid and wound up in jail for a year or two. A year and half in they get caught with some weed in prison and catch a list of charges for having a substance inside the jail and wham, now they have 10-15 years of jail time. It’s not a reformatory system. A reformatory system would put these people to work in large factories and teach them skills, make them work together, and when they get out they’d have money to survive on until they get back on their feet. Rather than all of US paying for these people to sit in prison while their morals and thoughts rot away.
