Hi sandy this is a good load . Aye a lot of planning and double checking but this is a great load for the business and also you gain experience and get a good reputation. Before I did my regular European fridge work from the north of Scotland to various countries in Europe. I did heavy haulage with transporting electric transformers and wind turbine blades . Aye it great challenge and builds you up . The new truck is certainly opening up new work for you sandy keep up your hard work ethic it's already paying off all the best

Great advice about a proper map mate. The amount of drivers that just rely on sat navs. Sat navs have there use but if I could only have one, give me the map all day long . Great video mate.

When I started driving everything was on phone calls and maps.
I hate satnavs....even the hgv ones,
You follow the picture......in past you knew where you wàs and could take action if a problem.

Beautiful truck and it’s got the steering wheel on the proper side of the cab, but unfortunately, you still have to drive the darn thing on the wrong side of the road, right? LOL
At least is has a proper steering wheel not a relic from a 1930s bus

Hope you been on a lorry securing course to satisfy your insurance company I'd have secured the tank differently to be honest
Is was chain down, And can’t just tie down anywhere on it, It pressurise chamber, so f not done correctly the company who it belongs to will right it off, I’ve not gotten were I am with the job I do because luck or people being nice to me, it’s because am good at what I do and take care of people kit
You only seen that load after I took everything off it
Never heard of a specific load securing course needed for insurance , and you can see the straps and chains on the trailer, just has one left on it, didn't go down the road with one strap on the back
@@SquireDAF cabins just have one strap over middle I've done this gig 25years
@@JackTuped Can't say that notice cabins that often but pretty sure that the dvsa wouldn't like that, hell I take 7 mini containers, even when some drops it has to have at least 15 straps over the trailer. The tank looks like straps on the flange bits front and back to pull down into trailer, keeps it stable and the frame at the bottom chains holding it front and back
