I did a Wedlocke once, and since I also feel like the original ruleset is needlessly heteronormative, but I did want to still have restrictions on which Pokémon could be paired, I decided to roll a six-sided die whenever I got a new encounter. On a 1 or 2, the Pokémon was straight and could only pair with a different gender, as per the traditional Wedlocke. On a 3 or 4, the Pokémon was gay and could only pair with the same gender. On a 5 or 6, the Pokémon was bi and could pair with any gender as long as their partner’s orientation allowed it. It was a pretty fun challenge.

Honestly due to the NOHKO move being so centralizing I would consider a future NOHKO nuzlocke just to see how that goes as a stand-alone rule or maybe paired up with the “losers” rule anyway since you can’t be doing one hit anyway

However, he later realized that it did seem a bit anti-LGBTQ and made a variant to the rules to include an LGBTQ-inclusive he called the Rainbow Wedlocke. The first run was on Sapphire and he streamed it back in September of 2017 back when he would stream on twitch. (I should know. I was there). He randomized each of the natures into one of five different categories. Pokemon who liked the opposite gender of their own, liking ONLY males, liking ONLY females, Liking BOTH (or Any) and liking NONE. Like the original, however, he does suggest that anyone interested in playing with the rule could be changed to make it more fun for the player.
The only rule change is that you have to talk to a woman before catching a Pokémon. If you want to apply Dupes clause, then the woman you talk to HAS to be one you haven't already spoken to as part of a previous encounter.
It’s like solving a giant puzzle, it takes knowledge and skill to resolve it. And then there’s still a shit ton of RNG to go through and inevitably when things don’t go according to plan, your adaptability is put to the test
