The plans are made, the forces on the march! Today we learn whether King Wargamious III has what it takes to reclaim his throne and put the usurper down.
I thought this was going to be a J6 “mousetrap” Anniversary game! LOL Were you thinking of the film Enemy at the Gates? PS. Instead of Damascus, that city is acting more like dumbasscus!
@@TheJoyofWargaming and exactly how you imagine a sci fi / near future meatgrinder that certain wargames capture. Poorly equipped grunts flung into devastated urban environments.
It's a better way to do it than... Trusting a computer. Blegh. The way you are doing it reminds me quite heavily of the FFG Warhammer roleplay system. That being a percentile dice with degrees of success and failure. You might want to have a gander at the rogue trader book Battlefleet Koronus. There's decent, abstracted, rules for ground fighting in there.
While the AI was interesting, I rather like the Die roll combat better, maybe a few modifiers for TL and Quality/Morale with an opposing die roll with 1 die for each unit, the difference calculates casualties and margin of victory. Even with inferior Tech, vast numbers can rule the battlefield.
Really enjoying this campaign! Keep up the great work!
Everything you do is most extremely excellent!!

With your permission, comrade commissar... that's the one.

Only thing I can say about your percentage roll battle system is that you should give some "home court advantage" to the defender.
