Live Osprey nest | RSPB Loch Garten

RSPB Loch Garten can be considered the home of osprey in the UK following their successful recolonisation close to this exact location in 1954. Ospreys were considered extinct as a breeding bird in the UK after being wiped out by persecution, but they are back and thriving once again!
This is our fixed nest camera. You can see the PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera to the left of the screen, on the tower, and find the link for it on the RSPB RUclips channel, by selecting the 'Live' tab.
Season 2024
- April 6th: Brodie, our male, arrives
- April 7th: Asha, our female, arrives
- April 21st: first egg laid at 10:47
- April 24th: second egg laid at 14:06
- April 27th: third egg laid at 13:05
- May 5th: Male Blue KL5 (Hatched 2020 Loch Ness) claimed the nest and destroyed all three eggs.
