We've had about 50 new 3x3 WR averages within the last month and a half... or at least it feels like that. Max breaking the WR once and then breaking that WR in the same competition, I'm pretty sure he broke THAT WR in a competition shortly after, and now Tymon has taken it. About half of my solves at this point are sub-20, and I couldn't even imagine thinking that fast in that much detail to solve it in around 5 seconds 5 solves in a row for an average this good.

I got down to around a 35 second average with just the beginner method when I was 12. I dropped the hobby for a while, and now Im 20 and finally deciding to learn full cfop bit by bit. Im still averaging about 30 seconds or so, but as Im getting better at recognizing the f2l pairs and the 15 or so OLL algs I know so far, Im slowly chipping away at my times. My goal is to average 15 secs by the end of the summer

keep it up dude! Cubing is an infinitely rewarding hobby. plus it's so addictive figuring out the details of a puzzle.

@@TechSupportDave oh 100%! Im so glad I picked it back up. It was honestly super random that I did. Hadnt touched a cube in over a year (I bought an Rs3m 2020 in 2020 when they first became super popular, and messed with it for like a month), when a hostess found a Gan cube left under a table at my old food serving job. I spent the whole night (we were slow as fuck) solving the cube every time the hosts would mess it up, then management told me I could keep it after no one came back for it. That resparked the hobby. I started learning f2l a week or two ago after deciding LayerxLayer was super slow. My times dropped about 10 seconds when I first made the switch, but as of now my Avg is down about 6 seconds from where it was before switching to F2l
