The hose was a little short for reaching my tank, but I found that a 5/8" heater hose pushes onto the end. I only added about a foot, too long could be hard on this little pump. I think I paid about $8.00 at Horrible Freight. Works great and saves my back and no more fuel spills.
I've got two of these and they're great. Since I've got two I decided to take one apart in the name of science. Long story short, with a motor controller off of Amazon you can run these off a USB power bank. Without the motor controller it will spin dry but once you put a load on it, it conks out. Hope this helps somebody.
You need to show how you sealed it. How did the red section come apart to seal it? Mine is leaking all over the place and unusable and dangerous to use.
I thought I showed/talked about it. Anyway I used teflon past on the body ( it comes apart) and coated the threads of the body. I had the same leaks. Remember you got to used stuff that is fuel resistant.
Any easy way to modify for a different battery? I hate single use batteries. I thought a 18650 battery would work just not the right length. Milwaukee has a version of this but not willing to spend $250.
It was made for fuel, and fuel is lighter than water. As far as height, its battery powered so it's not going to be very powerful. There are 12volt units that will work better for you.

How do you make it run slower?
not sure
Can i use this for drinking water
You could, but it would be hard to clean/keep clean.
They keep braking
I've had mine for right around 4 years now.
There are no brakes on this pump.
