So true. When I first heard Pisces from a RUclips recommendation I went and bought King of Everything. Every song on that album is so good, by the time I got down to Beggar’s Dance I was almost feeling annoyed. Felt like I’d wasted my time listening to lesser bands for the past 10 years

I saw Jinjer in Chicago recently and they opened with Teacher Teacher. Tati absolutely crushed the song live and had the room in the palm of her hand. People that weren't completely prepared for seeing this generational talent were freaking out. If Jinjer isn't really high up in metal festivals in the next few years, then the world has lost all sense of taste.

She is rare and deserves to be protected at all costs. This band is a perfect blend of perfection. Every single one of them.

The meanings to songs are on each individual to determine for him/herself. But there's no way you can listen to it...read the lyrics...and not have it mean something to you.
There are in fact some amazing singers with quite similar capabilities: Alissa White-Gluz (former the Agonist, now Arch Enemy) Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) Christian Älvestam (former Scar Symmetry, now Solution .45) Björn "Speed" Strid (Soilwork, has a pretty unique "screaming" sound) Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) and of course: Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour)
Some suggestions for some powerful metal ladies: 1) Unleash the Archers - Awakening (Brittney Hayes aka Brittney Slayes is the female re-incarnation of Bruce Dickinson). 2) Arch Enemy - Nemesis Live in Tokyo (Tyrants of the Rising Sun DVD)... Angela Gossow is the fiercest growler you'll ever hear and her stage presence will leave you terrified of her. 3) Eluveitie - Ategnatos or Rebirth. Celtic/Gaulish folk metal with a male growler and clean female vocalist. 4) Heilung | LIFA - Krigsgaldr. Proto-Germanic tribal music. I mean they don't really play heavy guitars, some of their instruments are real animal bones. Don't get more metal than that.

You should watch Yannis Popodopoulus, the male lead singer from Beast In Black, cover Ghost Love Score, just saying. ;) You can't go wrong with Teacher Teacher, Perennial, or Ape from their recent Micro EP. You should check out some concert performances though, like Who Is Gonna Be The One live, Captain Clock at Resurrection Fest, or Words Of Wisdom live. The recent video of Ape from Mystic Festival is great too, but Ape is kinda short so maybe do both studio and concert videos back to back? :D
Lots of great suggestions for older Jinjer stuff. I will recommend something new with their song "Retrospection" from the new album. It's another great mix of beautiful vocals together with the heavy. It also really feels like Avatar in certain spots, which is a good thing.
